Is this messed up?

I made this account to get some insight from other students/nurses.

There's a girl from some of my pre-req classes who is starting the nursing program in August. She would sometimes rant to me about the problems she and her s/o were having (the problems were nothing serious, just weren't getting along for the last 6 months or so). She was telling me that things have been improving and they've been talking about "the future" and how "they are going to have the cutest baby" and "when they have a baby they're gonna do this" yaddayadda but haven't actually discussed HAVING a baby.

She expressed concerned lately that they're getting up there in age (mid-30s) and she is concerned about the increased risk of having an "abnormal" baby as they age and said she has been considering going off birth control so "whatever happens, happens". She stated she has always had problems getting pregnant and that she would probably go "like a year" before actually getting pregnant (by just getting off birth control).

Obviously getting pregnant in nursing school is do-able, but not suggested. Is it messed up that she wouldn't tell her s/o?

I had wondered if "the friend" is really her? Anyway talk to your school counselor they are there and free.

Might I ask if you plan on posting your patients private information they share with you? Or do you just reserve that for friends? Not cool.

I just did a quick web search on your name here. You are all over the internet and easily identifiable. Please change your name here and elsewhere. You've posted about a friend's private business and all of it could lead back to her depending on who reads what you wrote. grumble...

That was incredibly easy. Heads up, OP, you don't want to use the same user name on multiple sites, especially those where you post a picture of yourself. You are indeed extremely identifiable and may find yourself in hot water over what you've posted here and these ease of being able to trace it back to the person who said it.

How many years HAVE you been in nursing school, anyway?

Two years ago you had a ten-year-old girl, and now you have an 18-yr-old boy and a 20-yr-old girl and a granddaughter?

Agree... change it up and go for more anonymity, or you'll find yourself in very hot water.

You guys talk as though OP is going to come back! Not holding my breath...

I'd just like to state that mid 30's is NOT "up there" in age!

I'm assuming OP meant that mid 30's is "up there" in regards to child-bearing age...

Another thread dipped in the koolaid.

I'm really glad you're out saving your distant-friend-acquaintance's life instead of studying. Really.
