Hiya all this is my first time on here, I am a RN &RM passed NCLEX,VisaScreen, I-140 and awaiting US embassy(london) interview. But I wish to know what exactly happens at the interviews & medicals and what if you have a pre-existing medical condition(ie Diabetes). As I am anxiously waiting :uhoh3: !!!! Does anyone know or can enlighten me!!! Thanks

In the US, if you get a note from employee health that you need a follow-up and do not get it, you can get fired from work. It is not something that they take lightly here.

Yes, it does happen. If you show up positive for a disease or issue that they do not want in the US, then you can be denied.

Yes, you can reschedule, but you will probably go to the back of the list. Unless you have real extenuating circumstances, I highly recommend that you keep that appt. Others would kill for it.:wink2:

On my letter it says if you reschedule you will be placed at back of queue and that could be longer than 120 days. I f you just dont turn up for one reason or another then your application will be destroyed and you will have to begin whole process again.

There didnt seem to be any problem with my weight etc but have to wait results of chest xray and bloods. The doc reckoned the only thing to stop anybody going would be diseases that you can pass on. He said that diabetes, hypertension etc would not stop anybody from going as they are treatable and not contagious.
