Hi there folks,
i just wondered if any of you have had any experiance of the above named company for obtaining your car on arrival to the USA?
i recieved some information about them from OGP in a relocation pack
in the pack it states that they can obtain USA finance for you on a brand new car/truck, which seems competitively priced, this will go a long way to starting a USA credit history.
They deliver the car on arrival the tag and insurance are taken care of by them, it seems to make the buying process less hassle (one less thing to think about)
any opinions?????
am off to town now to get my international driving licence- hurrah!!

Welcome to the site
I do hope they have told you about retrogression and currently looking at a few years waiting time before you get a visa to work in the USA and that is once you have approval which can take anything from 6-18 months to get

best person to PM about OGP is Betty Boop she is currently with them and I believe is very happy
Hey - forget the USA - come to Canada - only takes 8 months from start to finish!
Oh - & if you go to Alberta you don't even have to re-sit your driving test - just $30 & your UK license is taken away & they give you an Alberta one!
As a by the by - this thread was really is old - bet EN's surprised to see it surface again!
OH - & please note, be it Canada or the USA - YOU DON'T NEED AN AGENCY!!!!
I am with OGP as madwife explained and yes im thrilled to be here in AZ even though it took me several yrs.
we had a fantastic meat and great who took us evrywere like cariad, but due to the long wait for the visa interview etc we had already purchased our home out here in Arizona so we didnt need the meat and great to much, we also used international auto source to purchase the vehicle and i can say i would highly recomend them.
I did have a few "words" with OGP during the long yrs of wait but maily out of pure frustration than anything else, but they have and always been 100% supportive of me, durng my fist weeks OGP was on the phone every couple of days asking wether i was OK etc and if there was anything they could do for me, and even now they ring me about once every 2 weeks to touvh base so to speak.
Sadly with the immigration in the state that it is in it could be many many yrs before your out here, but best of luck with your plans.

A lot will depend on where you are going to be living and what sort of savings you bring. We are seeing a lot of US nurses stating they are taking second jobs to make ends meet

Read the journals and blogs that will give you some insight. I have been here 3 years and my experience is different than some of the other girls. Betty Boop has been working since june, Cariad for 4 years, Belinda Wales 2 years. Sue P 3 years. Letina 2-3 yrs.

we had a great meet and greet who would take us anywhere for the cou[le of weeks before i started work, even to the uniform shop to get scrubs, and to look for a car. we brought cash to buy a cheap car as we didnt know what sort of disposable income we would have. it worked out very well for us but then we werent on the mainland for 18 months, and when we did get here had hassle all over again with driving licences and car insurances.
