  4. thank you to you all. i'm scottish ...the accent is very thick...so what happen if you get written up...are you gonna be terminated from work... what are the things that you like most there...aside from weather of course...its very gloomy here and cold we didn't have a great summer...not a surprise. i met an irish nurse she came to work there 2-3 years ago...she didn't like it much there...she said she is worried all the time and that she needs to read books all the time as you said patients there are very knowledgeable...what if you can't answer all their questions do they get to complain... thanks guys...
  5. thanks you so much betty boop..how do you find american patients they said they are very legally aware for every single thing? and that they are very demanding...is that true? i'm sure that is not a problem as long as we're doing our job right...but is that true... the information you gave was very useful....do you get breaks when you're at night...do you do twelve hours. thank you

  8. to jailrn hi i've read your post and would be really thankful for a reply from you..i'm a nurse here in england i've got a daughter with autistic spectrum disorders and i'm waiting for a visa to work there as a nurse and preferred california. do they have good educational services...can i get a place for a special school for my daughter..how long is the wait to get her in place... do you have to pay for the school -my daughter got severe autism not talking...do you have to pay a huge amount of health insurance due to autism- she have regular medication like resperidone and epilim... i'm really sorry bout all the questions...but hoping to hear from you soon thanks so much
  9. to betty boop and all uk nurses- hi just want to ask - how did you find the transition of being a UK nurse to an american nurse- i work in neuro- is it a big change i have 3 kids 9 y/o 8 y/o and ten months are we going to survive there financially considering that my husband wii not work straightaway and me working as a nurse.... sorry bout all this questions...but hoping to hear soon from you all guys ...thanks...

  11. hi cariad i'm a uk nurse under o grady international and awaiting approval of my application. I've been hearing so many things re o grady e.g. very low rate and that they dont follow some things under the contract...is that true? have you been happy with them/? just kinda putting me off and i dont want to make mistakes. thanks and hope to hear from you .
