In One Sentence; if you weren't a nurse, you'd be a ________

Published

We've had such a long thread regarding whether or not we'd be a nurse if we could go back in time and start over again.

Let's do something light-hearted!

I'd like to know in one sentence what your dream job would be if you could choose anything...anything at all.

My dream job would be a photographer for National Geographic.

:D

:roll :chuckle :roll

What a wonderful thread!!

Oh, and start a home for abused kids.

And move someplace where winter never comes!

edited to add . .. I would seriously like to further my education and get away from bedside nursing and see if I could make some small difference in the lives of abused kids. Stories like the one I posted last week about the two year old girl who was beaten by her mommy's low-life boyfriend just breaks my heart. Two hours before she was killed, CPS did a home visit. Something is wrong with our system.

:o

You can right now. Volunteer at a group home for abused and neglected kids. I used to work at one and we were always looking for people to mentor the young girls.

Or find some other way you would like to volunteer your time. I raise funds for the Make a Wish Foundation to participate in a bike ride - 300 miles over 3 days each summer. I help the kids and get to ride my bike :)

It's hard to imagine being anything else. I drifted around prior to finding my niche in nursing. The grass isn't always greener.

In an alternate universe I would own a record/cd store. But big chains like Best Buy would have probably driven me out of business. The grass isn't always greener.

I would be a dancer. I took years of ballet, jazz, tap, etc... I've broken more toes and ankles and now have a hard time getting up en pointe. I would still like to take classes, but it's hard to find the time so I practice at home:o
