If Tulsa becomes a hotzone, I won't be volunteering there

No masks?

No social distancing???

If you get sick , don't count on me..

No one started a thread "if BLM protesters don't social distance don't count on me", so I think it's safe to make certain assumptions. What other point might the OP be trying to make?

And another thing, I had a weird dream last night about taking a road trip, and going a little further than New Mexico just for the heck of it. I was going to Loop through Oklahoma for some reason, nothing to do with this Trump rally since I actually wasn't too aware of it until I made the connection due to this thread.

I didn't want to go all the way to the east coast cuz it would take too long, so I thought maybe I'll go as far as Oklahoma and check it out.

You lost me. Why should we judge a posters’ motivations based on a thread they or thousands of other posters didn’t start?

You don’t know for certain that OP wouldn’t think a Biden rally wouldn’t be an equally unwise idea. If you or anyone else wants to know what OP means, why not simply ask?

I think we in the United States know how things go here. If it was more to the right-wing conservative type person, they like to criticize the protesters and rioters. If it's a left-wing liberal type, they are going to point fingers at the Trump rally.

If Bill Clinton or Joe Biden had questionable affairs, the liberals don't talk about it a lot, and the conservatives make a big deal about it. If Donald Trump fooled around, or is accused of being sexist and crude, the conservatives turn the other way, and the liberals make accusations and share video evidence on facebook and Twitter.

Oh sweet Jesus, I’m actually (kinda) agreeing with Juniper.

As nurses I think we do, *to an extent*, have choice as to who we take care of when we accept an assignment. I’ve been lucky to work with coworkers that have switched with me for whatever reason, and vice versa (I.e., patient threatened me, or attacked a coworker ... which happens in psych and the ED). In regards to the Tulsa rally, or BLM, volunteer wise we would have a choice ... but if these patients landed in our hospitals - I would think most (if not all) of us would care for them regardless of our partisan viewpoints.

Reading the OP, I’m going to safely assume OP was referring to the Trump rally (but, whether it was a partisan issue only s/he can say). Hopefully the OP will come back to elaborate.

To suggest that liberals don't talk about sexual misconduct of liberal politicians is dishonest. Al Franken comes immediately to mind. We certainly talked about Bill Clinton's sexual accusations more than we did GHWBush's.

The reality is that sexual harassment and misconduct is as common in American politics as misogyny.

Every time I see BLM, I think "What does the Bureau of Land Management have to do with this discussion?".

That was the Bundy group.

"When you intentionally put yourself into harm’s way, I almost want to say to them, would you please just sign a waiver saying you won’t seek healthcare at the point when you are severely ill because you may very well also expose healthcare workers in their attempt to save your life. I hope it would drive home to people that we do have personal responsibility. It’s like driving. I think in some ways we have to start holding people more publicly accountable for intentionally putting themselves in harm’s way. I don’t believe for one minute that such a waiver would be signed by anyone, but at the same time, it should make people think about this. You’re not just putting yourself in harm’s way." Michael T. Where was this Osterholm guy parroting the same line at the George Floyd protesters? Oh right, just another hypocritical lib that is too scared to be called "racist" to stick up for his principles then!

If it were an even more imperfect world the people who attended the rally in OK could have a semi-permanent tatoo placed on them to identify them to the ER team that they behaved like an orifice and went to a crowded location (REGARDLESS of why the crowd was organized. Some of us can still think - it's not illegal yet. I wouldn't attend a BLM rally either but would do something else to express my dissatisfaction with the status quo. But if I had the job to rate the motivation and meaning of joining a crowd, I'd certainly hand it over to BLM instead of a Trump rally. End the end we all have to care for stupid people who put us as risk. I just keep telling myself over and over that it's a hard life to live when you are stupid and how lucky am I that I don't have to live like that?
