Campaign Workers removed thousands of social distancing stickers before Trump’s Tulsa rally, according to video and a person familiar with the set-up per the article and cable news reports

Another example of COVId-19 safety precautions denial by Trump campaign and the President.. No wonder many US residents not following masks, social distancing --opposite message received despite WH COVID experts recommendations spouted in national broadcasts. No wonder why we are having huge spike in positive cases resulting in hospitalizations in 20 states today. Karen

In Tulsa, Trump Campaign Subverted Social Distancing One Sticker at a Time

Quote

Hours before President Donald Trump took the stage last Saturday at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, for his first rally in the COVID-19 era, arena workers were busy labeling thousands of seats with “Do Not Sit Here Please!” stickers to promote social distancing, part of a new safety protocol at the arena known as VenueShield.

Campaign staff quickly radioed over to an executive at ASM Global and asked the arena to stop labeling the seats. In fact, "they also told us that they didn't want any signs posted saying we should social distance in the venue," says Doug Thornton, executive vp for ASM Global, who oversees nearly 100 arenas across five continents for the venue management company ...

In wake of Trump’s Tulsa rally, his campaign is still contending with the fallout

Quote

...The campaign had agreed to test its staff before the event, and a tent was set up at the site, staffed by health-care workers with equipment.

Among those who passed through were Trump campaign workers and top allies and surrogates, according to people with knowledge of the operation. Staffers and top supporters entered the arena wearing masks after they’d been tested, though many rallygoers did not.

Health-care workers inside the steamy tent initially were given a list of more than 200 people to test, two people with knowledge of the event said.

But then some people began testing positive. At one point, a campaign staffer was tested three times after a first test showed up positive — and all three tests came back positive, according to a person with knowledge of the incident....

...Meanwhile, Tulsa County saw record-setting spikes of coronavirus cases in the days after the Trump rally — with the discovery of roughly 200 to 250 new cases each day.

In all, the county charted 902 new cases of the virus in the week after the rally, an increase of 15 percent over the week that led up the president’s visit. This week, new cases have fallen slightly, with an average of 93 positive cases per day so far.

Former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain is in an Atlanta-area hospital being treated for the coronavirus, a spokesperson said in a statement.

Cain, a Black Voices for Trump co-chair, attended President Donald Trump's June 20 rally in Tulsa.

Cain posted a photo of a group at the rally without masks or social distancing.

And he's a cancer survivor. Another life lived for the sole purpose of proving that you can't cure stupid. That will be his biggest contribution to society.

Then don't. I'm a avowed Democrat, but hey, let's be fair: folks are gathering en masse, partying and vacationing all over the nation...hot zones are emerging all over the place due to social choices. The choice to take a lucrative travel contract to help out depends on individual circumstances and not on judgment of patients' actions.

I read it more to do with dopy people not wearing masks or the like.

Unfortunately those people seem to have the constitution of iron and social darwinism is unlikely to help

Let's see if I can explain this yet another way...

Suppose, for argument's sake, President Trump had done the whole New Zealand thing, and shut down the entire country very early on. (Would two-faced liberals call him a dictator for doing it? They already do, so who cares what they think.) Trump clamps down everything in February, no travel, no trade, nothing. And the Coronavirus cases in the U.S. had dropped to zero.

I'm not from the US but would most likely closely resemble a liberal. I've called Trump many things. .

Shutting it down is exactly what trump should have done. And many including me would have applauded. Perhaps if the leadership had of taken more prompt action the US wouldnt be facing what is is now.

No one called our primeminister Jacinda Ardern a dictator. The leader of the opposition came across as a dopy turkey and as such he got rolled. Sure, four weeks of lock down sucked balls. It was worth it

What is really mind boggling is that they took down the social distancing markers, and they literally encouraged people not to wear masks more or less, which is insane.

And for those who think this was a politically motivated post it wasn't. I was dissapointed in POTUS and those who couldn't think a bit for themselves and participated in such dangerous events. I feel the same for the riot situations , and I did comment there too.

*sighs*

Kimberly Guilfoyle -- Donald Trump Jr.'s girlfriend, a top Trump campaign official tests positive for coronavirus

Quote

...Guilfoyle tested positive in South Dakota before she was set to attend the President's event at Mount Rushmore, a person familiar with the matter and a campaign source familiar with the matter said.

Guilfoyle was not with the President and Donald Trump Jr. has so far tested negative, the person familiar with the matter said. That source said Guilfoyle had not had recent contact with the President, but she was in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and was backstage for his rally there and, was also at his event in Phoenix....

Caring for patients having consequences for the lifestyle is not an issue. None of us can "catch" their CVD, COPD, Type 2 DM. However, we can catch and die from this virus, from folks who flagrantly deny science, CDC recommendation, and think that wearing a mask is akin to tyranny, and their "rights" are greater than our right to life, and our families. That friends, is the difference. It matters not that they were at 45's rally or a bar. They don't care. Cannot blame the OP for not wanting to volunteer for ingrates.

Not that they hosted a rally, I don't think many in the city wanted it there, but there are so many blatantly and belligerently disregarding science, CDC recommendations because "their rights," to not wear a mask or distance and eat/drink at a restaurant or bar, which is a slap in the face to all healthcare workers and other front-line workers everywhere. Their rights do not cancel our basic right to live. Their greed, and entitlement are the real tyranny, as front line workers have no choice but to work, or be denied unemployment.

Also, I have never caught COPD, DM or CVD from my patients choices.... Big difference but I am sure you know that and are just deflecting more nonsense.

But the difference is whatever I think of these 18-30yo partying in Lake Missouri, they aren't in positions of leadership.
