Just for fun, if you were to choose a career other than nursing what would it be and why?
I'd probably be a writer or doing something in music. I admit the pay is nice as a nurse though. And best thing is I can still be a writer or musician , especially since my nursing job pays the bills.
All of this, which is why I never answer this question with "writer" or "musician" - I already am those things too! Pretty easy to crank out ideas every night while my patients sleep and during my four looooong days off every week.
If I were to have a different day job (or I guess just a day job), I've always thought about:
-Marine biologist
-Music therapist
-Interior designer
-Professional organizer
-Forensic psychologist

Nursing is a second career for me. If I could have I would be a bush pilot in Alaska. Just seems like the coolest job in the world to me.
