Should I be a nurse: I am going to scream! How in the HE double hockey sticks are we supposed to know what is right for you?? I am sorry if I sound rude not my intent, but it just makes me wonder, do you have to have all your decisions made by another person if so you ARE going to have a hard time being a burse. I am a EMT and if I had to ask someone to do XYZ before I do what I know needs to be done, I would have a poor patient outcome. Sorry but this is getting old
In the spirit of keeping things off-topic... I am a dog-person and this is my favorite :)
Thank you for introducing me to this new excellent time waster!
And I'm not asking for medical advice........ quote....."Presentation (yep this is me and I'm not looking for advice, just an ear and a what would you do if........you know what I am going to ask, what would be your expectation as far as dx tests and how you would approach this pt. Not looking for pity just wondering if you had a similar situation what would you expect for Dr.s orders and nursing intervention.
is that advice? Not a perfect presentation of the facts as I perceive them but I am up too early..." end quote

Any post by a former patient who wants to rant about his/her bad experience while in the hospital. At the risk of sounding cold, I. don't. care. Really. If you felt you were mistreated, call the hospital's patient liaison and let them deal with your issue. We can't fix it for you, and some of us are a little prickly when someone starts busting on our colleagues.

Allie is ridiculously hilarious! I love all her dog stories, but especially the one about her special needs dog's accidental adventure. And the preteen birthday party wolves. And her childhood obsession with cake. And the alot. And the revised visual analogue pain scale...
She even makes her recent depression wryly amusing.
