Ok, what the heck is a "tapatalk error 2203"? That's what I got when I tried to send a reply here (and it was a good one, too lol).

I've had the error all day, your post went through.

Wow. Your 5th post and you played this card. May be a new record! And perhaps HIGHLY inaccurate. You have no way of knowing that any of us here are actual nurses...

Wow all I can think of is "nurses eat their young" after reading this forum! Shame on all of you. I will help you, PM me I am a RN

While I couldn't disagree with you more about this being and NETY situation, I do have to thank you for the chuckle you gave me imagining a Disney cartoon nurse in her freshly pressed white uniform, tiara-like nursing hat on her perfectly coiffed hair, and wagging her finger at a group of naughty children while saying, "shame on you!" Still smiling as I type this. :lol2:

So ...define "help" Is it helping a person to facilitate shoddy research? So they present "data" from a source who THEY say is a nurse, but have no evidence of that? IS that "helping" the student? I think "help" is showing the student that research is work and as important as the answers to the question is how you obtain the answers and from whom. Study deontological ethics and Kant. How you get to the outcome matters as much AS the outcome. If a person lies and steals to get money or works hard to get money...well in the end they both have money. Is that the same thing?

How to get a nurse interview in 5 easy steps. Written by Ood, Student Genius (kidding)

1) Go to a fast food restaurant across from hospital around noonish

2) Stand by the entrance and look for people in scrubs

3) Excuse me sir/ma'am are you a nurse? (if yes) May I offer to purchase your meal in exchange for answering some questions for my nursing class?

4) Sit down, ask questions, don't waste time, and BE POLITE.

5) Thank nurse for their time, give firm handshake.

Step one could also be replaced with "hospital cafeteria"

Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

I recognize you from somewhere. Oh, you're the one that believes in the PVT. You tell Thumper and Bambi I said hello, over there in fantasy land. I bet you're the Blue Fairy, she was pretty controlling, too.

Seriously, though, how is it NETY to tell this poor poster that they need to verify that the RN is an RN? We're almost all anonymous here. I happen to be an RN, but a lot of the posters are CNAs, pharm techs, spouses of nurses, random patients who lurk, LPN/LVNs, etc. It's a better idea to go somewhere you can get a real name and verify that the person is who they say they are. I'm not about to list my real name on the very public board with over 900,000 members so she can verify my license.

I had a project last semester that involved nurse interviews. I needed a minimum of five nurses. I e-mailed, Facebook-ed, called, and texted nurses I know/have worked with and asked if they would be willing to be interviewed. I did not expect everyone to say yes to me. I ended up with over 20 interviews! Such a great surprise.

Nurses, generally, love being helpful, especially when it involves education. Ask and ask nicely - I even had a CEO say yes to me. I might argue that I learned more through my interviews than I did in that particular class :) . OK, not really, but they were amazing interviews. Also, conduct them face to face! (F2F). Don't do Skype or over the phone if you can help it. There is an art with conversation and these days, I feel as though we are missing out on this art...

Oh and home healths or home hospices are generally a bit more laid back. Anytime the nurses go into the home they typically have a few minutes they could sit and talk versus a nurse on a busy med surg floor.

NOTE: I'm not saying home nurses don't work as hard....I used to be one. Just saying our schedules are a bit more flexible than when you have 5-6 patients on call lights :cat:

A colleague of mine has an aunt who is a MA. She loves to post on her Facebook page the challenges of her nursing job, how hard it is to be an RN, how she saves lives with the wave of her hand. Maybe I should get in touch with her so she can come on here and answer interview questions? Then again maybe she already is here, and although she is a MA I'm sure she'll have no problem being interviewed as a nurse. After all, she's almost a nurse, sort of the same thing, close enough..... Right?

I would gladly be a subject for interview if you need help. I've got too much free time on hand at this moment. Kindly send me a PM, much better if you're going to provide me any social media account so we could converse from there. I can't send any PMs here. Not really active in the forums but I check from time to time.
