I Need A Nurse To Interview!!

Hello, I'm in Intro to nursing and my assignment is to interview a registered nurse. if anybody would be kind enough to help me out... I'd really appreciate it. it can be a quick phone call or anything you'd be comfortable with. they are simple questions and very short. pleeeeeeease!!

Not likely as they value anonymity also. Hence why soliciting interviews on a public anonymous forum is not the best choice for a student charged with developing personal interview and interpersonal communication skills. Are you going to provide verification of your license & employment to this reported student's professor for verification?

I understand and actually agree to a point. I'm just not completely close to the idea of helping. I'm willing to answer questions and all that Jazz but providing verification of license? No not that and I did not see where the OP indicated that. OP: can you post your interview questions here?

Your profile says you are a pre-nursing student. This is what everyone is talking about OP. Are you 100% sure the people ythat you are talking to on an anonymous fforum are really nurses?

I have to fix that, I'm an RN, thanks for pointing that out!

Edit: fixed my profile

Right but if you won't provide proof of license (I wouldn't either) how is the OP going to prove s/he interviewed a licensed registered nurse and not a well read bored truck driver from Kenosha that likes to post on these forums? This is the extreme limitation with choosing to solicit interviews on an anonymous public forum.

We had to provide name & title/license and either a business card or other verification in our submitted nurse interviews in school. Was it easy? No. Those who worked in facilities and had contacts had quicker success than those not working in healthcare at the time. However our instructors guided us to traditional and no traditional sources for our interviews. I think our psych professional interviews were the most challenging

Seems like the OP abandoned this thread anyway :)

I had a similar assignment I think it is being blown a little out of proportion.. If you're not going to help then simply move on.. To give a lecture about it doesn't help the situation. I had a nurse that I set up an interview and she had to leave on an emergency so I had to improvise although I didn't use AN I did have to come up with something and helpful people is what got me though it..

But most of these people come here first without even trying to contact anyone in person first. There are many reasons why an "interview" over the internet isn't a good idea.

OC, I like you, I really do but I can't stand behind this statement. Too many assumptions on this. Sorry don't mean any disrespect:)

Lol. They aren't assumptions, after being on here for a year & talking to enough students who come on here & make excuses as to why they haven't gone in person. The nurse is too busy, I don't have time, I can't reach anyone...etc

There are several students that state exactly that (not necessarily the OP). PleeeAaasse help me. My interview is due tomorrow. I came here to find a RN working for 1.25-5.6 years in an intermediate care unit in a 600-750 bed facility that must be located in IL, IN or MI. I need a photo of your nursing license and your manager 's name for a reference and your phone number so my professor can verify I interviewed.

Extreme but there have been some requests posted at 10:46 pm on a Sunday night due in the morning at 8am

I made the mistake of responding ONCE...several emails receive asking more and more. Fortunately I used a junk account & ultimately deactivated the account as my new BFF decided I would be a personal tutor since I was the only one who offered to help out.

I remember one poster who needed to interview a nurse for her paper due the next day. All I could think of was poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on ours.
