Actually, I don't hate it - I kind of like it!
A student came in yesterday wanting ice for a very small bruise on leg. She had bumped it on her coffee table 4 days prior. Told her ice no longer indicated.
At home last night she fell asleep with a big old bag of ice tied around it and fell asleep. Yep- today, she has a painful ice burn.
Let thy body heal itself people!! Not everything needs intervention.
TGIF!!!

Not my intention to be any of these. I posted in response to what appeared, to me, to be an inappropriate post. EnoughWithTheIce has since responded, and I accept that this wasn't her intent.

Really? Based on what, exactly, other than your opinion?

And I don't. Again, why I posted what I did. She could have taken the low road as well, however she opted to take the high road as she was gracious enough to comment on my post and clarify hers.

Pediatric ICU. And you are always welcome to participate, with or without an invitation. With your background as a school nurse you would likely be a valued contributor to some of the discussions there.

While I generally don't have this issue with my coworkers, I know only to well how difficult it can be to work with and educate the patient and their family.

After three decades in nursing, I have become the old nurse who doesn't tolerate bullying and your response smacked of it. Most bullies I confront have no clue they are bullying. Most new grads around me appreciate my interventions, but they never ask me, because they fear the retaliation of the bully. I despise NETY and I can see it is still a prevalent thing.

I know we can sometimes come across as mean and uncaring but we ARE NOT - we do need an outlet for our own mental health well being.
Yes, yes we do.
And we generally welcome new people to our little corner but it becomes plain when someone is lurking....
