Something happened to me at Wednesday that i thought i would never hear.
I was told by my team leader that bouncing breasts are very inappropriate in the workplace.
There had been several complains on me for a long time (she claims).
And that i from now on, always had to use a bra.
Was she right to correct me like that, should i complain on her ?
Not it's not like that at all. I just haven't been careful enough.I also called a co-worker that was surprised that i hadn't been reprimanded before. So i am taking this seriously, and also feel bad about the two days between i got the message and the weekend. However, i am really the only one out her getting reprimanded for braking the dress code ?
Methinks you may need to read between the lines.
I have not been reprimanded for violating the dress code because I follow it. Even if there were no dress code, I dress in a professional manner.
Hey, I wasn't quite THAT bad!Personally, I've seen plenty of stuff even more tasteless among health-care workers nowadays. Girls with their "whale tails" shining brightly for everyone to see, along with their butt cheeks. People of both sexes going commando and not keeping their britches hitched up. Guys doing the "L.A. Sag".
What's a whale tail???
Well, yeah. They're unconscious for the surgery but when we interview them they're awake. When we bring them to the room they're awake too.I agree, the OP would seem to benefit from a bra. But, I just found it weird how some people made such a big deal out of this..I was on the floors as a PCT some years ago..most of the patients I saw had zero issues with nudity! I just think her manager could have handled this more appropriately and I think as nurses we have bigger issues(pun intended) than if our well endowed coworkers are wearing the proper underwear.
Here in the prudish South people do indeed have problems with nudity. Maybe not their own because they trust that when they are nude in front of nurses they are safe, but trust me they aren't comfortable any other nudity and big bouncy boobs are a no no.
I cannot believe this post is for real. I am a large chested, petite woman and could not go without a bra since I was 12. Sure some are more comfortable than others, that is why you never wear a new bra to work without testing it at home. Washing them before wearing them is a good idea too.
I agree with the posters who say go to Lane Bryant, I do not need the rest of their clothes, but they have the best fitting, most comfortable, support bras, that can be fitted by a professional at the most reasonable price.
I do not mean to sound unkind, and the supervisor should have spoken to you in a private manner, but for once, I can really believe the supervisor was just shocked that a large chested woman would not have on a bra.
Please consider how professional your appearance will be once you put on the proper under garment.

Don't forget the tramp stamp above the whale tail. Sheesh cover it up.
Was there really a way to say what your manager said without being direct? Honestly?
I am direct person and I firmly believe that "dressing up" what I have to say is an insult to both of us. I don't mind choosing words that are neutral and unoffensive but how do you say, "honey, you need to wear a bra because we all say [whatever]" more kindly?
As an aside, doesn't this rub your nipples? This sounds painful!
Me, 34B
OP, you could always just say "But I am wearing a bra!" What is she going to do , peek into your shirt and check?
In all seriousness, I think no matter what kind of bra you're wearing, you may not ever be able to make your bosom "low key" enough to satisfy some people. My mom is big busted and short of wearing a gunny sack, you will always be able to tell that she has a big chest.
Is your manager on the small side? Maybe she's envious:sofahider..It can be hard to be a member of the IBTC-I know from first hand experience!
I am almost the same size as you just drop a letter. I also use to suffer from shoulder pain. I use Bali and Lane Bryant bras for the most part and don't have that problem any more. I don't think anyone has mentioned this but have you considered a breast reduction?
I actually was thinking about that because a friend of mine is very short and had gigantic breasts - her back and shoulders hurt all the time. She had a breast reduction and is so much happier now.
