Or bleach. Whatever kills it in a minute. Also, can someone explain to me why pulmonary tanning hasn't been tried yet?

Thank goodness Alex Azar put a labradoodle breeder with no public health or medical qualifications in charge of putting the coronavirus task force together. Maybe he can help look into why these ideas haven't been tried yet.

I had no idea who Alex Azar was, so I looked him up:

"Alex Michael Azar II is an American attorney, former pharmaceutical lobbyist and executive, and current Presidential cabinet member who serves as the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services"

What!!?? Typical. He's put in this position and isn't a medical professional. Even worse, he is a freakin' lawyer and pharmaceutical lobbyist.?

Our first clue might have been when he chose a labradoodle breeder to lead the national Health and Human Services response to the Coronavirus. (Who does he think he is anyway, Jared Kushner?)

You just can NOT make this stuff up.

PS - though this was widely reported, duly note I included the link to the Business Insider which has the link to Reuters. Because I understand a few on this board just can't accept reporting from sources that verify their stories impeccably (CNN, the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal) because they're just too "biased" ?

So...maybe the distilleries could make a bunch of isopropyl alcohol for people to cleanse their lungs

Maybe if the buyers are willing to send the distillery their grandmothers' Mason Jar and Depression Era glass collection to pour it in. I understand the Chinese plastic bottle supply chain has malfunctioned.

Claiming that a fact is not a fact because you dislike the source is referred to as shooting the messenger.

If it helps any, "The aide, Brian Harrison, had joined the department after running a dog-breeding business for six years. Five sources say some officials in the White House derisively called him ‘the dog breeder.’ "

A cut and paste from Fox, entitled : "Officials mocked Azar’s corona point man as ‘the dog breeder’ "

Well, it looks like he's gone now as the headlines now are the WH is going to replace him. Given that will be the 3rd HHS in < 3 years and the way appointed heads of every Cabinet come and go as if Houdini were POTUS, not really all that surprising. OTOH f the blame WHO thing is running out of steam. I am no fan of Azar whatsoever understand. and yet if only by default, I am far bigger a fan than I am of Seema Vera, the likely replacement.

Haha, not so funny. I heard the tape. Mr. Trump made a gaffe, thinking aloud, like what if we could --- . Now CNN calls it a lie and he may cancel all press updates events. Let it go! All presidents make gaffes though Trump is famous for them. It's what he does. I doubt that he meant it. I am not a Trump supporter. No president is prepared to handle a crisis like this--certainly not a business billionaire. People hate or distrust him so much that they are inclined to interpret these comments as slurs or stupid. He is funny in a weird unpresidential way!

Except, the supposed "gaffe" was by the President of the United States on National Television in a Pandemic Response Information Briefing and there are reports of deaths coming in across the country that people have actually injected themselves with household disinfectants....

I'm also wondering why you would say no President , alleged business billionaire or not, would be prepared to handle this, when both prior Presidents of both Political Party did exactly this: George Bush with the first SARS virus and Obama with the Swine Flu and Ebola.
