I'm a student, so technically I lose money
Don't go into nursing because you heard you can make good money! (not accusing, just saying)

I live in NE PA.
The local hospital pays $17/hr.
The place I work I get $23.10/hr. I am pre-diem, so no benefits or PTO. I have an 80 mile commute.
I like the flexibility of nursing, but I do not like the horizontal violence.
Nursing is stressful, but also rewarding. You can survive on the pay, but you will not have a family and a lot of extras in life unless you want to work a lot of overtime.

I love the people I work with and I get to use all my skills, I dislike the lack of teamwork with a few certain nurses.

Associates degree in nursing in the Pacific NW. I've been an RN a little over 2 yrs and make $39/hr with shift diff and grossed 79k last year with minimal OT.
What I like about my job is the patients and what I hate is mostly administration coming up with new procedures and bs paperwork to make our jobs harder but to cover their a**.
