I just wanted to collect a general survey as to how many nursing students use cars. I haven't had a car none through my time in college, but then again I live in a big city. It's troublesome sometimes, but you have to do what you have to do to meet your goals. Any other bus riders here, or are you all drivers or carpoolers?

Bike to class, drive to clinicals. We are in suburban DC area, but some clinicals are in the country side, others in the heart of DC just out of range of metro and still other sites are in cities that are just under 50 miles away (not about to bike or mass-transit 50 miles). But other than clinicals and grocery shopping the car stays in the garage.

I use a car. I live in Vegas, and while we do have buses here there are no stops close to my house!

I live in the wooded upstate NY area, you need a car to get everywhere. There is a loal bus line, but it doesnt go anywhere close to where I need to go.

Motorcycle to class and car to clinicals. I'd take the motorcycle to clinicals if I didn't have these God aweful all white scrubs. We have a bus system here, but it would take me hours to get anywhere as there are bus stops every 50 feet....

Bus every where and I ask friends for rides when I can't get to the site. It SUCKS not having a car.

car - the public transportation here in PA stinks...I'd have to get on a bus at like 6 AM to get to a 9AM class!

I use my car. We don't have buses or public transportation in southwest VA. Plus my school is about 45 minutes away and clinicals are even further.

Car here. I would bike to class in the nicer months but for clinical I would take my car. Hated riding to the hospital and being sweaty and gross.
