Okay, I would not say easy, but not to overly stressful and hard. I mean I had ALOT of memorization and understanding concepts, but it was not as hard as let's say, micro. Micro was horribly hard for me .
A friend of mine had a test in A & P this past week. They tested on cell respiration, the Krebs cycle, integmentary (sp?) system, AND the bones.....In my opinion, it seems like her test was all over the place, maybe that is why is hard for her. Another thing, my A & P class was broken down into I and II (15 weeks each) Her class is A & P I and II mushed into 15 weeks.
I felt it was not hard. And you have to keep telling yourself that, LOL. The moment you start saying that it's hard it gets worse. I kept saying, this isn't hard I just gotta read and do these darn index cards and use that lab at least twice a week and i'm good. And sure enough I was.
I am really sorry your AP is going like that do you have other instructors there maybe for 102 you can switch.
Our AP class is fantastic and thankfully we can all just transition to 102 together too, I love our instructor and most of the people are really great too, its a hard course a ton of information in a short of amount of time. My instructor does something a little different that I haven't experienced before we have a few major 100Pt exams on key chapters, and then there are a few other exams that she prints out study guides for and we can take these exams on our own time before a certain deadline. So its up to you to keep up with the material. Our labs over lap I am on a weekend course and we are shortened a few days due to holidays in november so there really is a lot to cover. We have tons of work some days I am taking multiple exams we have a quiz every week too and 4 major practicals. However all that said I just love it! I spend even my free time there studying going over videos working on lab stuff etc...I am dreading micro next semester though because everyone has said the instructor is no good and we only have the one.
I have had classes where the whole class does poorly and the teacher can't teach intermediate Algebra and the Chemistry class I am taking now comes to mind it is terrible to be left in a class frustrated, my chem teacher prides himself on his failure rate, how that does the school any good is beyond me, but I am one of the few getting an A in his class it just means more work for me i guess.
I've hada Chem teachers like yours , too....good luck sounds like you are doing really well. You should be proud of yourself for making an A under those circumstances.
If I'd take another instructor it could even get worse than what I have now.
He is supposed to be one of the better ones they've got

I breezed through A&P with my eyes shut and got A's in theory and lab for both...Micro kicked my butt though...maybe because I was SUPER interested in A&P and SUPER bored in Micro. I have never worked so hard in a non nursing class and still only managed a B.
I thought A&P I and II were very easy (except endocrine of course). Chemistry I find to be the hardest because it is mindnumbing and useless. Just teach me the Metric system and let me go damnit!
I think this just goes to show that everyone is different. I actually thought Micro was much easier than A&P! I guess I am the oddball here. I ended up with A's in all of them, but I really had to work hard in both A&P I and A&P II to keep my grades up, while Micro. didn't seem near as time-consuming to me. Perhaps it was because I was more interested in the Micro. processes and how diseases are transmitted and contained.
I'm currently in A & P I and we have two exams the whole semester and each exam is broken into two parts. In two weeks I will have my midterm exam for lab where I will have to label 30 different bone markings, bones, and organs. The 30 items are picked by our professor and it's my job to memorize everything from the head down to the toes. The second part of the midterm will be a week later and it will consist of 3 essay questions that have yet to be determined but will either be bones, homeostasis, tissues, blood, etc. So I have a lot of memorizing to do. :wink2:

I remember the bones...how appropriate around Halloween...I had this miniatrure skeleton standing next to my bed....go break a leg, you will do fine!
