How many people thought A & P was easy?

Published

Okay, I would not say easy, but not to overly stressful and hard. I mean I had ALOT of memorization and understanding concepts, but it was not as hard as let's say, micro. Micro was horribly hard for me :banghead: .

A friend of mine had a test in A & P this past week. They tested on cell respiration, the Krebs cycle, integmentary (sp?) system, AND the bones.....In my opinion, it seems like her test was all over the place, maybe that is why is hard for her. Another thing, my A & P class was broken down into I and II (15 weeks each) Her class is A & P I and II mushed into 15 weeks.

What are your thoughts?

I think it is a bit inflammatory to say that A&P is easy. I'm wondering if the memory of taking the class is receding for some? Or if some are just boastful? I don't know, and I'm not pointing at any particular poster. These are just my thoughts in general regarding the notion of A&P being 'easy'.

I do know this - I worked my butt off in A&P. In my opinion, it is not that there's anything that is very difficult to understand. It's just a (((massive))) amount of memorization.

I would hate to see pre-nursing students read this thread and think 'oh, ok...A&P isn't that hard..' and then plan their class schedule under that erroneous delusion.

A&P a breeze, :lol2: My A&P classes were more like F5 twisters....only few survived in the end with competitive grades :lol2: :lol2:

There was a guy in my micro class who always claimed how "easy" the class was.....I guess it is safe to say that it isn't that hard to make D's and F's on the tests ;) I had a winner like that in my A&P2 class also....she claimed it was "easy".....yeah, it's not too hard to barely "pass" the class ( a D is passing :lol2: )

Cracks me up :lol2:

Note: the above post is bogus, the poster says that he/he never took A&P but claims it was easy.

*** Dude(et), I was kidding. I never took an A&P class in college but still had to learn it and it nearly kicked my butt.

Hmmm, I took A & P over 9 years ago, but now need to re-take both for a program that I hope to get into that starts at the end of May. When I took it, it was one semester of anatomy, and one of physiology. Not so much anymore. Now it is A&P I and II, and I am taking them both together this spring. When I took them initially I loved Anatomy, and found it pretty easy, mainly since I was so interested. Phys was ok, ended up with a B in that one, but I am a little worried about the re-takes. I just took Inorganic and Organic chem together and got an A in both, I just hope the same happens for A&P.

I hear alot of nightmare about Micro, which I took as a 6 week course last summer, and somehow ended up with an A. I found it easy, but mainly because it was on online lecture, and the instructor literally gave us study guides of what was going to be on the test. I think I lucked out on that one.

A&P probably shouldn't be as easy as it is at my school, but my instructor spoonfeeds us exactly what is going to be on the test. He goes over a "study guide" in which he holds the test, reads through the questions, and tells us what each question will cover (doesn't give us the actual question, but will say, i.e. "Know the function of the cremaster muscle"). He's not such a good teacher - he gets standard notes on each chapter from the textbook company, puts them on a powerpoint, and reads them to us typos and all. I'm trying to teach myself the rest.
