I'm sure this has been asked before, but I was wondering, how far is everyone planning on taking their education?
I'm doing an ADN prog, then planning on moving so I can complete my BSN, then go onto am MSN for ANP.
With so many options out there for nurses I'm curious to see what everyone has planned.
I am getting my ADN so I can start working in the field. I then plan to enter a RN to MSN program. I want to be a Neonatal or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
I am in a unique situation, as I already have a masters degree in another field. It seems very strange to go back and get an associates degree but I want practical experience in the field before committing to further education.
What a fun question! For now I want to just get my ADN in Nursing, with the RN of course. After my kids get older, oh high school or college, I plan to do a BSN to MSN program they have at the nearby Univ. I can do the combo in 2 or 3 years. Cool hah? Sounds totally fun. But after a 2 year absence (during the RN program) I just want to work a couple days a week and be a mom. Later, I will become......SUPERNURSE!

To EmeraldNYL,
You are right...there are 6 CRNA school's around this area, but only 4 that I am looking at and applying to because of commute time.
I heard the LaSalle/Montgomery Hospital program was excellent, as was Nazareth's. I haven't heard anything about the others.
Good luck wherever you decide to go!

The college I got my BS/MS is from is trying to get me to enter the PHD program. I am still mauling it over. Teaching would be nice.
