Hi all. Final grades are trickling in, lets share our successes (and not-so-successes) here. We're here to kudo good grades and support those who may not have received the grades they hoped for.
Time to share!!! :)
I'm happy with my semester, though it was CLOSE on my Anatomy & Physiology 2 grade. The teacher was all over the place with his exams and lectures this semester, leaving many of us confused as to how to study for the exams.. (usually teachers are consistent, he was not) Anyway- I pulled an A only by the grace of God. I think my final average was like a 91.3. If I hadn't done so well on a couple test over the semester, I'd have had no hope!!!
I aced Microbiology with a final semester average of 98.7. These are the times I wish they had A+.. (but then, I'd have gotten an A- in A/P so it's a catch 22. lol
Anyway- I would not have been as successful had I stayed in Chem this semester. I'm positive it would have affected all my grades so I am glad I dropped.
My new chem class starts in three weeks and is a five week course. I'm going to spend the next couple of weeks in decompress mode and then jump in with both feet.
Congrats to all - awesome grades. :w00t:I made an A in A and P 2. Only had the one class so i was able to focus on that one subject (well - and working full time and 3 kiddoes. - lol).
Just finishing up an eight course semester (Chem2/Lab, A&PII/Lab, Micro/Lab, Nutrition, and Psych) and I am exhausted. I've got my last exam tomorrow in chem. I've gotten an A in everything so far. If I can get an 80 on this last chem final I'll finish with all A's this semester. I'm so tired of looking over notes though. I need some sleep.
After this final, I have a nice three month break before nursing courses start. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I know what I will be doing Friday night though. Sleeping.
I am taking physiology and we have midterm 2 tomorrow. Next week is physio AND micro lab practicals! The week after that, is midterm 4 for micro! UGH talk about the last month being torture!
Anyway finals week is the 2nd week of June so I have a bit to go.
So far I have a over-100% in physio, but the midterm 2 is tomorrow so we shall see!
So far in micro I have a low A, but we get to drop our lowest score to boost up our grade! I am getting back midterm 3 today so lets see if I raised that A up!
So I guess I will check back in here in June to announce my final grade!
I sooo wish I was some of you guys, having spring done already! This 16-weeks is WAAAAY to long (thats what I get for getting used to 10 weeks on quarter system)
But as for summer (I have a thread regarding that) I am taking boring philosophy: logic and intro to psych along with working as a waitress and looking for a summer job as a CNA!

You guys are just taking midterms? When do you start/get out?
omg God just walked out off my a&p2 final it was a nerves reck..but i did well finishing off with and A..Thank God..When are you guys planning to apply to a nursing program?
Its funny I MAY be able to squeak by with an A in AP2 and Hoping against hope for an A in Micro but thats only if I get really really good grades on these last two tests! Ugh so tired but I still have four finals left and two papers....sigh...haven't turned in ONE exam for math yet so my entire grade will rest on how I do on the final next week. English should be a cinch though

Well good thing none of these grades count towards NS huh? lol as long as I pass :)
I took Chem. and college writing II. I received an "A" in writing and I am VERY THANKFUL that I received a "C" in Chem. That class was horrible! I had two tutors and seen them three times a week PLUS studied many many hours. The good thing is that I had a decent GPA before these classes and it didn't drop because of the "A" in writing kind of leveled out the "C". I applied to the nursing program back in Feb. and I was told today that my decision will be here within two weeks. They just had to wait and see if I passed Chem or not and I am so Thankful that I did!!!! The advisor said my GPA looks great and most of my prereqs are done, so that's good. Micro starts next week for me and Human Growth starts in June. I finish my summer classes July 23rd and if accepted into NS, I will get a month to recoup!!
