  1. My dude. Satire is sarcastic by nature. Saying sarcastic satire is like me calling you a goofy goofball. It's unnecessary. What's wrong with a stupid post? You need a little stupidity in your life. No reason to walk around with a stick up your bum 24/7. Pull that **** out and relax man.
  2. Damn. You're about as fun as a box of dead kittens. I wasn't looking for medical advice, and most of patients are negative cdiffs. Sarcasm is wasted here. I wasn't that serious, dog.
  3. I am graduating this semester, but throughout school I always had a strange phenomena. If I am getting down and dirty cleaning up a patient with a serious code brown, I smell the distinct odor of their feces. Over the next day or two, my flatulence smells nearly identical to theirs. My friends think I'm nuts. I am not crazy, why is this happening? Google has failed me. Edit: If someone could move this to general nursing student discussion, I would appreciate it. Although I am asking for assistance, I think it fits more there. Thank you!
  4. Hey! I am currently in the third semester at SELU in the traditional program. This should be my last semester, but I had a medical issue and I had to go part-time for two semesters. Now, I won't graduate until next December, but that's life. I do have two accelerated students in my clinical group, eight total students. I live in Mandeville right now. All my classes are in Baton Rouge, aside from clinicals. Those are in Hammond for me this semester. I enjoy it. It's a lot of work. They say third semester is the worst. It's a lot of material. Classes are fine. Instructors are good. My friends in the accelerated program are tired, but they are surviving. Not having breaks takes a toll on them. The program is good. I have confidence in my nursing abilities during clinicals, and I do well on the ATI tests that are required. They function as indications of NCLEX success. Ask me anything you would like. I have email notifications of replies, so I won't miss it.
  5. i hope you're joking. none of the female nurses at my hospital or school have their hair half as decent as the guy in that cartoon. guys with longer hair shouldn't be held at a higher standard than women.
  6. You don't start school for nearly two years, and you're already thinking about what to do after graduation? Slow down man lol. I don't know what I want to do tomorrow, so I have no clue what I will be doing after graduation. I live life in the moment, but no in the exciting way. It's more the "You want to go to Macy's? Okay" way.
  7. I just finished up my first semester of a traditional BSN program. I didn't experience any of the stress and whatever else everyone on this board talks about. Even people in my class complained about how busy they were because of school. That is just a negative mindset being pushed by a vocal group in nursing. I lifted hard three times a week, and I did cardio on my odd days. You have all the time you need.
  8. I'm just finishing up my first semester of nursing school. I had a blast. It was genuinely fun. I enjoyed the people I was working with, students and instructors. The work wasn't half as bad as everyone made it out to be either. I don't know why everyone is so doom and gloom about nursing school. There's people in my classes who stress about everything as well. Just don't let it get to you. It's that simple.
  9. Some people are born with addictive personalities. I would consider that a disability. Get off your high horse, before someone or something knocks your butt off of it. Otherwise that fall is going to hurt.
  10. You don't need to wax your arm hair. If you're uncomfortable with the length, which I am assuming you may be because of the post, just trim it up with clippers. There are plenty of youtube videos that could help you out.
  11. All those fart jokes I'm missing out on.
  12. I'm the only guy in my class. It's not as fun as you would think. Having another dude in the class would make it so much better.
  13. Why shouldn't he complain? He had no part in the prejudices of the past. Why should he have to pay for it? Any discrimination is bad business.
  14. I don't know how I feel about everything so far. I got hit with a lot of work early, but that doesn't bother me too much. I wish I had another guy in one of my classes. All the other classes have either two guys or none. I'm by myself, and it's intimidating.
  15. Very cool photo. Thanks for sharing. As for the ratios, we have five men, including myself. We were suppose to have six out of our seventy-two, but one of our guys didn't show up. He was in my schedule too, so now I'm the only one in my section. It would have been nice to have another guy around. Oh well
