  1. My advice to you would be schedule in studying/homework time. If you have trouble doing the work at home, maybe camp out at school or the library for an hour or two before going home to complete your work. Also, do the work as it comes to you, don't let it pile up. Give yourself leisure time, as well.
  2. My GPA was low before I started doing nursing pre-reqs. I started around a 2.8. With hard work and three semesters (plus one summer session), I've raised my GPA to a 3.62. This is with making a 4.0 on everything. I'm proof that it's possible, and it is very worth it. Best of luck!
  3. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I'm going to say make your own. Writing your own makes a great review. You also get to pick and choose what you need to review. I bought some this semester, as well as made my own. The ones I bought went basically untouched, while the ones I made helped me get an A. Just me two cents.
  4. Chemistry- A A&P I- A CNA class-A I was so nervous about taking A&P, so I'm so happy that I did well. Now for a short break, then off to summer school for me.
  5. I'm taking 14 credits this semester: A&P 1, Chemistry, and my CNA course (which is required by the schools I want to go to). This summer, I'll be taking 8, and next semester about 10 (last semester of pre reqs/co reqs!!). 14 is very doable. I also work about 16 hours a week, have two puppies and a live-in boyfriend. I have A's in all of my classes. Luckily, I have a job that allows me to do homework and study while working, so I get a lot of my studying done then. The rest, I fit in.
  6. I'm taking microbio and A&P 2 over the summer. Whooo, fun times!
  7. Hello! I'm taking my pre-req's for the nursing program in my area. So far, so good! I'm maintaining a 3.4 GPA and hoping to raise it some more this semester. While my GPA at this school is solid, I took a few classes at another college and didn't do as well. I know that the nursing program I'm aiming for require a cumulative GPA of 2.75. I'm just nervous that all the hard work that I've put in at this school isn't going to matter since my GPA at the other school is so low. Do nursing schools also look at a student's progression, i.e. they look at if they student has improved academically over their college career and at pre-req GPA? I know that a lot of other factors go into being accepted or not, but I'm really scaring myself with the state of my cumulative GPA. Any advice?
