How did everyone do in your Spring classes?

Published

Hi all. Final grades are trickling in, lets share our successes (and not-so-successes) here. We're here to kudo good grades and support those who may not have received the grades they hoped for.

Time to share!!! :)

I'm happy with my semester, though it was CLOSE on my Anatomy & Physiology 2 grade. The teacher was all over the place with his exams and lectures this semester, leaving many of us confused as to how to study for the exams.. (usually teachers are consistent, he was not) Anyway- I pulled an A only by the grace of God. I think my final average was like a 91.3. If I hadn't done so well on a couple test over the semester, I'd have had no hope!!!

I aced Microbiology with a final semester average of 98.7. These are the times I wish they had A+.. (but then, I'd have gotten an A- in A/P so it's a catch 22. lol

Anyway- I would not have been as successful had I stayed in Chem this semester. I'm positive it would have affected all my grades so I am glad I dropped.

My new chem class starts in three weeks and is a five week course. I'm going to spend the next couple of weeks in decompress mode and then jump in with both feet.

Specializes in Nasty sammiches and Dilaudid.

Rocked 'em--A in Human Lifespan Development, A in Medical Law/Ethics, C in History of Islam (near-completely tubed the first exam so C makes for a very nice recovery). For working full time, I'm satisfied with that.

Overall Great!! I have a 3.47 cumulative GPA. I messed up a little on my midterm in A&P I. I did not study what the instructor said and made a 50. I talked with my wife and I will be dropping down to 30/hrs a week a work to allow more study time. I should be able to easily recover though. I let my Humanities class take away from A&P I on top of getting bumped to 40 hours at work since the start of this current quarter, which has shown in my school work I normally make A's and high B's, started making B's and C's and actually fail the A&P I midterm. Some studying and the extra credit given by the instructor will definately help.

only took 2 this semester due to full time work and kiddos, but anyway...

Psych (Lifespan) A+

History of World Religions B+

now onto 2 summer classes.

I took my Eng 112 final, no grade yet. I don't take my A&P 1 final until Saturday-I'm currently stresses THE FRICK OUT.

Specializes in School Nursing.

I totally know where you are coming from. I felt the same way.. I needed a pretty good grade to pull off my A and the stress of getting that grade was through the roof. I hated that I didn't have wiggle room... but I pulled it off and you will too!

A's my way. I am ready for the summer term. Its like I just want to keep going so I can finally get it over with. I am only taking two classes for summer and they are both online but I refuse to take anything but A's. Nursing school here I come!:nurse:

Straight A's thank God. I was really stressing microbiology especially since the teacher only got though half of the material by the time the semester was almost over.

Specializes in Cardiac Critical Care.

I got a B in A&P II and an A in Developmental Psych... I'm jumping into summer with both feet as well: Pharmacology, Pathophysiology for Summer I and Microbiology and Chemistry for Summer II. Unfortunately, I LOVE summer (it's my favorite time of year!) but I need to do these classes or wait another semester to apply... and I'm just not doing that! I'm also working full time, so I have very strategically scheduled times during the summer when I can go camping, etc. and blow off some steam :)

Fun thread and very motivational to see so many doing so well! I still have my lecture portion of my anatomy final (our anatomy and phys classes are split) but I made an A yesterday on my lab portion final so I can pretty well take a nap for the lecture one if I wanted! YAY!

American/National Government final is not here yet but I anticipate a pretty good grade in that class as well.

"One of the reasons I'm taking chem is a 5 week marathon course is because I really don't want to stretch this torturous course over a regular 16 weeks"

mjmoon, I took chem in an 8 week session for the same reason! Also passed with an A by the skin of my teeth.

Taking physiology and intro to literature in summer and hopefully starting a program in the fall or spring!

Specializes in Nephrology, Oncology.

I passed. One A, one B, and One C. I joke with people saying I wanted the alphabet on my transcripts. Could have easily made that C a B if I hadn't been such a procrastinator early in the semester. Oh well, live and learn.

A few good friends of mine missed the bar and will have to wait to repeat this semester. Sad day. :crying2:

I did a couple of transfer classes this semester which I have A's in. But I also did Chemistry which is the second time for me taking it and I still did not (or am not going to) pass! I cannot seem to grasp chemistry! I feel so discouraged! This is a prereq to get into Physio, so I definiately need this class! I have seen a tutor, and been in my professors office all the time! I still do not understand it! Any advice? I feel like I will never get to work in NICU because of chem! At times I feel like quitting and doing something else. But I know in my heart God wants me in nursing! Please any advice ladies? And also, how is micro for you girls? I am taking that this fall.

A in AP2, A in Socio., and I'm pretty sure an A in Psych. Development. The instructor has a kind of complicated grading system and we had lots of work worth little of nothing, so I'm not completely sure. I don't really understand how to figure it but I think I have an A.

I have three and a half weeks before summer starts and even though I told myself I needed a break, I went ahead and got the books today and peeked a time or two already. I also need to study for the HESI and take it soon. I have an app. going in Dec. and one in Jan. Pretty excited.

Congrats to all on the grades!
