  1. In California as i new grad i make $22
  2. Try knolls west post acute care in victorville.they hire new lvns. Starting is like 18
  3. I work skilled nursing and make $22 per hour as a new grad .
  4. You have to get your feet wet. You can work different areas of nursing. And before you're an NP you must have nyrsing experience and judgement to diagnosis, perform assessments, and treatments. And most nurses honestly are more than willing to help new grads out and if you ask they will teach you. That's what I've experienced being a new nurse. You might just work with some unhappy people.
  5. I a new nurse as well in a SNF and the reality is keep asking questions. I have those days where I feel completely stupid too. it 's better to be cautious and aware of what you are doing then not asking. It will get better in time.
  6. I feel the same way. I have dreams about work. and so much anxiety and stress to complete everything. the work load is crazy.
  7. me I took it May 20rth. computer shut off at 85 questions, but in Calif we have to wait 4 weeks to get our results. I did the pearson vue trick and it said the same thing. I am scared.
  8. I go to school full time and have to work weekends. It's all time management. I have higher grades than my non working classmates. It's all motivation.
  9. i'm an A student. you have to basically teach yourself. we've only had 2 classes with already 3 new instructors. one was great.the rest were horrible. they just stand there, and do not explain anything in detail. Their motto is you have to be "flexible" in nursing; that is true to a certain degree, but no having to pay $300 every month, and have it be wasted, and have new teachers who aren't resourceful doesn't constitute flexibility!!!it's a waste of money going down the drain, but i'm going to finish what i start. Go to the community college and save your time and money please!!!!!
  10. I have the opposite question for you. If you have an American BSN could you work as a Nurse in Canada?
  11. I'm so proud of you! your story made me cry, and is so inspiring. I hope you have all the success you can handle! Way to go!
  12. use the 80/ 20 rule! it's easy! 80% of our body weight is a representation of our diet, and the remaining 20% is training! think about it! Eat healthy and in moderation, and you won't have any weight gain! HIIT( High Intensity Interval Training), is a quick effective way to not only burn calories, but raise your metabolism!
  13. Best of luck. you can do it! YOU MADE IT THROUGH LVN SCHOOL! KEEP AT IT!
  14. I start my program in october, but i am going to start review my A & P notes starting this week . i am so nervous of all the works that is going to be involved!
  15. I know i so worried about making it financially!!! so many bills, but i think its poossible! how exciting can't wait to start!!!
