  1. Thank you so much for the info. I knew the CPNE was for the 3 day clinicals I just couldn't remember what the initials stood for. My brain fog sorry. I wasn't aware of your links of info on here. Being fairly new, I'm still learning about the site. I am going forth with enrollment as I personally don't feel it's blindly. Especially after reading your links. So thank you for doing that for those of us pursuing our education advancement. Well written with loads of information. Kudos to you!
  2. I will be enrolling within the next 3 weeks with EC. I've been reviewing posts on here about them and ISU. Ultimately decided on EC. Anyway, congratulations to all of you for taking the next steps in your professional lives. Now, can someone please tell me what FCCA and CPNE tests stand for. I know this is probably a dumb question and one I may should know but don't. Good luck to you all!!
  3. Yeah I figured that out after getting into it all and researching them. I desperately need/want to get my RN license then BSN. But it has to be online because I work full time plus 3 children plus caring for my father who is blind, non ambulatory, diabetic, CHF etc and no help with him except an aide who does 3-5 hours X 5 days/week.
  4. Thanks so much for the info! My mistake about the BSN. I've gone back and forth between Indiana State, Chancellor, TCN and Exelcior that I guess they're all running together lol. May I ask how long it took you to complete your degree and which course line you chose? Their set classes or testing out?
  5. Are their any Exelsior students out there who are going from the LPN to the BSN program who might possibly private message me a list of books I am going to need?? (and any other items I might need) Haven't enrolled yet so I can't get the list from them yet. I am in the process of getting a loan to pay for everything and simply need to know how much money I am going to need. Plus searching around to see if I might find them cheaper. I'm a single mom so cutting corners any way I can ;-) I was told I could go on Amazon and purchase them cheaper so I just need to be prepared. My email address is [email protected] Thanks for any help or advice anyone can give! God Bless!
  6. Looks like there is a large span of pay rates. I live in western Va, work in a LTC facility and make $16/hr charging. Not the best but thankful to have a job in this area as I also care for my ailing father.
  7. Excellently written! Absolutely nothing I could add. From a sister LPN, LTC charge nurse ;-) Sharing if I may?!
  8. Who has done LPN to RN and/or BSN online schooling? With what school? Are these degrees received well? How expensive, financing etc? Thanks to anyone who can help with legitimate facts (not hearsay please). In other words, people who have actually done it. ;-)
  9. What is your current 2015 pay as an LPN/LVN?
  10. Thank you so much for the info!
  11. Hi, I am an LPN desperately wanting to finish school to secure my RN, BSN. My questions: I reside in Va and had been told that they (Va) would not recognize online schooling for the LPN-RN bridge. That I would have to sit for boards in a surrounding state, work in that state for a year then I could request for my license in VA. Does anyone know anything about this?? Also, how expensive is it, is there any financial assistance? And last, how long will it take? Thank you anybody who may can answer these!
