Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2021 Applicants

I wanted to start a new thread for those of us applying to Houston new grad nurse residency programs to ask questions and share information.

I am brand new to this site so I hope I'm doing this correctly... Good luck everyone!

Yes! Pre-Match day. I'm definitely doing to dress up and turn my camera on but I'll see if I find anymore info anywhere else as well

What li87 said. There’s a ton of ppl online, majority were without cameras on. Too many ppl for them to notice who’s on, dressed up, it’s not a session for them to get to know us.

Oh good. I was getting a little nervous over it but that makes me feel better knowing it’s more of an informational session!

Nope! they open the 14th. The pre match day sessions (from what I’ve heard) are so they can go over the application process and give info on what units are hiring at each location.

How long after you applied for Harris Health did you get the survey and stuff? I got an email that said they received my application and what not but that was all.

I applied Monday and was sent the survey on Wednesday!

Hi, I am applying for RN residency at the HCA hospitals, in women's services, does anyone know if we need to send only one application for all locations, or do we fill out applications to all the HCA locations that are offering that specialty?

I just turned in my application for Houston Methodist West/Sugarland NICU, Mother-Baby and Emergency Department. Will they send a confirmation email that our application has been received. This is my first choice hospital so my anxiety is pretty high.
