Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2021 Applicants

I wanted to start a new thread for those of us applying to Houston new grad nurse residency programs to ask questions and share information.

I am brand new to this site so I hope I'm doing this correctly... Good luck everyone!

Hi! Is anyone on here going to be in the staRN program at HCA Houston Northwest starting in July? If so, is there an FB group or anything?

I did my Capstone at Ben Taub. Had a great time and the staff was great. HCA has a bad rep and they hired a massive amount of nurses that start this Summer.

Well for starters, Ben Taub is 1 of only 2 level one trauma hospitals in the city of Houston, it’s a teaching facility, and it’s magnet status, so I think that speaks volumes in itself,  but at the end of the day, go for whatever your heart tells you.

anyone know if Memorial Hermann offers a pay increase after the first year or so of the residency? And if so, how much?
