What has been your hardest class so far? I haven't started my program yet, and was just looking for insight from those of you who have.
Thanks!
Prerequisites: micro and chemistryIn the program: Anything taught by a nurse practitioner. Especially if they are also your clinical instructor.
Soooooo true! :)
My clinical instructor is an oncology NP and we are on the oncology unit for clinicals!
It's been a challenging but rewarding semester. She keeps us on our toes and is always thinking 3 steps ahead of us!
My hardest pre-req was Micro for sure!
As for nursing, the hardest course so far was Maternity. Although I absolutely loved clinicals and loved the professor I had, it was TOUGH. My school splits Maternity & Peds in 1 semester, so I finished Maternity in 7 weeks, which mean an exam every other week! Really tough, but I made it. Not looking forward to Med-Surg 1 next semester!

In nursing school, definitely Med/Surg. We have 24 weeks of it and it goes in depth into all the systems and diseases. You have to know signs/symptoms, labs, patho and interventions. The questions are all situations and you have to put all the information together, use your critical thinking and pick the 'best' answer. Cardiac was tough with all the meds.
