Doorbell rings, I'm not list'nin',
From my mouth, drool is glist'nin',
I'm happy -- although
my boss let me go --
Addicted to allnurses - dot- com
All night long, I sit clicking,
Unaware time is ticking,
There's food on my cheek,
Same clothes for a week,
Addicted to allnurses - dot - com
Friends come by; they shake me, saying, "yo, man!
It's time to find a nursing job for Mom."
With a listless shrug, I mutter "no, man;
I'll be here at allnurses - dot - com!"
I don't phone, don't send faxes,
Don't go out, don't pay taxes,
Who cares if someday
They drag me away?
I'm addicted to allnurses - dot - com
Happ-i-ly, ad-dict-ed to all - nurses - dot - com!!!!!
Count me in. I don't care if I am doing something that my life depends on, I am always side tracked and led right to allnurses.com. I fractured my arm a few months ago and I would not leave until I posted. How sad! My hubby fussed all the way to th er!! Didn't care cause I pecked at the keys until I healed!!
okay, i had to post here...this is soooo something that has become a haven for me! i just found this site recently, and its just that its such a place to come and know that no matter what topic i am on, i can talk and feel confident. there is always someone "out-there" in nurses land that is going thru the exact same things that i am. so thanks all!!

my husband has been paying extra attn to me lately.
he's been sitting down w/me, attempting to have extended conversations, asking me to go for walks with him, wanting to cook together, etc.
the noc before last, he got up from the couch and said, "i'd like to throw that %$#*@$% laptop out the window!!!"
no one in my family has to ask.
they know it's AN.

Me too. When I was a child, I didn't do much except get picked on, was sick most of the time, was beaten, abused in other ways, and worked worked worked.
When I was a young adult, I joined a church and married one of the members who I didn't know at the time was :confused:mentally ill. That's where my girls came from.
In my late thirties, I got a job as a bus driver, and when we took camp kids to parks, we got in free, and I played, played, and played some more; especially the water parks and the rollercoasters.
When I turned 54, I moved to another state, and became a nurse. I lived, slept, and breathed nursing for a short while, until I became disabled. Then later, while surfing the internet, I found Allnurses where I continue to laugh, make others laugh, give some advice, and got addicted. Yep, it happened to me too, and I'm not one bit sorry.
