I have a kid who has come to see me weekly since March with lice. Mom treats, combs for a day or two, then stops. I have called mom to explain that the combing needs to happen daily for two weeks to be sure and she says she's doing it. There is no way. She is insisting it is coming "from the classroom". Her daughter tells me "my mom only combs me right after the shampoo", so I know mom isn't doing it. She wants me to check all 23 kids in the class. I refuse. I have not had a single other kid in the school with Lice since October.
This is wrong of me but, that last week I gave out toothbrushes to the PK class with the most lice phobic teachers. As I left the room I quietly mentioned that the timed release lice eggs where embedded in each toothbrush. I just couldn't help myself, those 2 have made me crazy this year over lice!

Hahahahahahaha!
I had one class with 9 kids with lice earlier in the year.. since then at least once a week i have a kid from that class with lice. None of the parents speak English in the class so I am having trouble getting my point across that they need to continually follow up; comb and retreat... ugh!! I can't wait for this year to be over!

Checked heads.
22 of them.
One has lice. A lot. And it was a busy day at the school too with Mass.
Fun times! And to top it off, I've been up since 3 with my youngest little guy and cleaning the house. Can't wait to go to sleep!
