I can not think of any group project at any time where everyone did their share. Be prepared with a strategy to deal with it and make certain you communicate with the members who are doing their share of the work. You may each need to send a written evaluation to the instructor, so get ready. But still, the slacker needs to be warned out of courtesy. Good luck.

We all do our best work on OUR PORTION of the presentation. Yeah, you may lose some points as a group but it will be painfully obvious who wasn't prepared.

Ugh. I hate group projects. Luckily my profs that do group projects have allowed me to work solo. Of course, that means more work for me but peace of mind is priceless.

I am so fortunate that for the 2 group projects I had this past year all the members contributed their share. We were able to select our own groups and I partnered with other good students so it was a breeze. :)
Not the norm, I know!

Same people that will not do their share at work. Yes, I've met them.

Group projects are the worst! Some folks will NEVER want to do their share and the rest are stuck with the rest.
Bad stuff, group projects....

please read the weblinks on group projects on this sticky. a number of instructors have taken the time to post rules for their students that have to do group projects. you can learn something and get some direction from these weblinks: https://allnurses.com/forums/2489678-post39.html

Our instructors had us fill out a peer evaluation and a self evaluation. If the instructor saw a pattern, then the student(s) lost points. Group projects can be fun if you align yourself with other hardworking students. But if you get some students who plan on "riding" on your hardwork...then it sucks. Have open communications with your peers. That way if it isn't working you can tell your instructor that you have spoken with these people and he/she might get involved.
