I can't believe it. I have read in the past I wouldn't hear until the end of March or April to know if I was accepted. To my very happy surprise, I got my letter in the mail today! Let the games begin.....anyone else here from GPC? Good luck to you all!

If you get an old edition on this book and can save money. Go for it. I got an old edition last year for like10 books.

I got an older edition as well, for about 5 dollars including shipping!

Have any of you taken the research class at gpc? I will be registering for it this summer and a classmate of mine said that he was able to exempt it after the first day. Did any of you do this? I'm hoping it's true! Lol

I havent taking the rsch course. It is true that you can exempt after the first day because u take a test.

I've taken it. In the first week they do allow you to test out of it. The test was too hard for me so I was stuck taking it. It was easy a super easy class tho just annoying as its not beneficial at all.

Unless you're a genius at using PowerPoint/excel etc you really don't have enough time to pass the test. It's a TON to do in the amount of time they give you for it. If researching a topic and making presentations is second nature to you though, you will be fine. In my class we had to score a 90% on the exam to exempt out of the course. I ended up just taking the class and it wasnt bad. We had to pick a topic and do different stages of research on it, culminating in a final powerpoint presentation at the end. We also had additional weekly quizzes and assignments that were pretty easy. Hope that helps!

I still haven't heard from Gordon, so tomorrow I will be officially accepting my spot at Perimeter for the fall! Now, my worst case scenario can only be a $105 loss. I was able to weasel into my last 4 prerequisites for the first half of summer term. I'm glad an above poster gave insight into the research class, I'm hoping to exempt out of it. My first month will be hectic, but in turn, I'll have two summer months free and clear before I begin either program!!!

Yes, I did. But be warned, it's not exactly a test. It's more like a mini research paper and you only have an hour 15 min to do it.

Psyc 2103, hist 2111, phed 1101, and rsch 1203.

You can do it. Those are easy courses. Especially the last two. I took them online and my PE teacher was wonderful. Easy A.
