  1. I have been a nurse for 6 years now, with that entire time being NICU. I have always had an interest in mental health and have lately been considering going to school for my PMHNP. I currently have a MSN in nursing education, so I would be able to do a post master's certificate program. My first question, is it possible to transition to a psych NP role with no mental health experience? And second, how rigorous is the program? I have am almost one year old at home so wondering how well I can balance school, work and family. The plus side is I currently work part time so I work 2 nights a week. We often have downtime so I am also able to study while at work sometimes. Any opinions or advice is much appreciated!!

  3. Congratulations! I am a new grad in a level 3 NICU and only started 2 months ago, there's so much to learn but I absolutely love my job!
  4. So far I am loving it at Eastside! They do have a mix of all ages. Everyone has been really supportive of us new grads and they really encourage continuing education.
  5. Congratulations! Good luck to you as well!!
  6. I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with the benefits. I just know a few people who work there and say it's a great place to work. I'm sure Newton is a great hospital too, I just don't know much about it. That's a tough decision! Just try to weigh the pros and cons of each.
  7. Congratulations! I don't know much about Newton but I've heard great things about GMC. What positions are they offering you? Are they about equal distance from you? I will be starting at Eastside on August 10!
  8. How did your interview with Newton medical go? I had an interview Friday with Eastside Medical for their residency and was offered a position later that day! It sounds like you got it at Gwinnett Medical... Its probably just a slow process!
  9. Pixie.RN... Do you work at Memorial? I have an interview there next week for the residency program. Just looking for some opinions on the hospital and interview process!
  10. Unfortunately no... I'm going to make some calls Monday and hope something comes up. How about you?
  11. Nope I never did wondering if they're still interviewing?
  12. Hopefully we hear something soon!
  13. Those are good examples of the math questions. There are math questions on every exam as well as the test you must make 100% on at the beginning of the semester. Once you know how to do them they're easy points on the exam! The method I prefer is dimensional analysis. Just choose whatever method works for you and stick with it!
  14. Still nothing. My status online says "application under review." Hopefully we do soon!
  15. Anyone heard anything yet? I know a few people who've been called for interviews but I haven't heard anything yet :/
