  1. First of all I would like to send you a big Air Hug because divorce is hard! To answer your question, I would say it depends on a few things. Would you have a heavy financial penalty for leaving the PN program? Another issue to consider is if you need to take other college classes such as college math, science, English, etc along with your nursing courses or do you already have those done? and if not will you have the time to devote to all of those courses on top of the nursing? If you don't have those other classes done, it would be a good idea to get them all out of the way even if you're not accepted this time around for the ADN program. That will be less you will have to worry about once you start the RN program. I would personally just go for the ADN since that is your ultimate goal. It's easy to say you will go back, but life happens and it may be tougher to go back in the future( I speak from experience)I'm 34 and I have been an LPN for 14 years and finally found the circumstances to go back for the RN. If you do the ADN , you can can get it done and over with or do the RN-BSN bridge.
  2. I hear ya! I drove myself crazy waiting for the acceptance! We just have to remember that feeling of how bad we want this when we are in the trenches of the nursing course load!? We can do this!!
  3. Awesome!! Congratulations!!
  4. Hi! I'm actually an Lpn enrolled in a 2 year RN program for the fall. I will be attending a hospital based ADN program. A lot of schools in my area stopped doing the bridge program.
  5. I totally agree with your comment. Nurses definitely eat their young! I believe the whole superiority complex many display is the cause for this. Clinicals are a place for student nurses to learn, I believe it would have been more appropriate for the instructor to use that moment as a teaching opportunity to provide appropriate rationale instead of outright failing her?(just my 2 cents).
  6. I was accepted into the program! I was told I will get an official letter within the next few weeks! I was not expecting that today.. I'm beyond happy right now???
  7. Thank you both so much! Tomorrow is the big day! Hopefully all will go well.
  8. Hello, I recently got call from my nursing school of choice to come in for an interview with the Director. Is getting called for an interview a good sign, or do all applicants usually get interviewed? Thanks in advance for any insight you can offer
