No. You don't get 10 tries with a patient. Anxiety can only be excused so much before it slips into a lack of or poor application of basic nursing knowledge required to pass the nclex. After 10 years, you probably need to start fresh with school anyhow.

I've heard that too! "Nursing dose" flies around my ED every shift. People may or may not actually be doing it, but the thought is always nice... Especially with screamers.

That sounds frustrating. I can only hope I'd have the patience to deal with that situation. BUT, in the grand scheme of things, how much does your transcript saying August vs May matter? Drop the negative energy being put into trying go make the school "fix it" and just focus on passing NCLEX and getting licensed. That's the date that matters. Besides, I'm sure the school used the date that they received satisfactory verification to actually confer your degree. You (and a lawyer or the news outlets) will likely be unable to change that. I learned, from a patient, that there is a viral shot you can be given to prevent HIV transmission within 48 hours of confirmed exposure. What I hope to learn by next week is: Why this shot isn't just given to all negative people as an HIV vaccine? Or even to positive people to reverse and cure it? It may also serve me well to know why my hospital's pharmacy doesn't stock it...or has never heard of it. Go figure.

What was wrong with asking if her name was a birth name or not (if that's what you meant)? What you said was rude. And if you can't see how it was and have chalked it up to someone being offended too easily, you absolutely should be worried.

I always looked a mess on test day. No effort made to even look presentable. Lol. My hair was up in a ratty bun or just brushed down & unsecured and, no matter how hot it was outside, I always wore a comfy Aero jogging suit. So, when I took NCLEX, I had to mess my hair up and wipe my carefully filled in brows off. I had on my jogging suit too, but I left the hoodie in the car because I was unsure if I'd be allowed to wear it into the testing room. I made sure I looked like my crazed/ragged test day self.

The questions are different and the final has 180 questions instead of 150.

They typically will see the arrest and charge, as well as require you to submit a letter of explanation regarding the offense and certified court documents with the cases disposition. That is where it'll be clear that the arresting charge was reduced by the courts. Still, it's no biggie. Just be sure to have all your paperwork in order to submit to the board as to not delay the processing of your application. You can always check the website or call to find out the CA process/requirements. Each state board varies.
