You need to find out WHY they cancelled the program--is it having funding problems, did something happen w/ legal liability, or their accreditation (which is super important if you ever plan to go further in your studies)), etc. Ask some hard questions--you deserve some answers. DO NOT reapply there until you find out if the program is still up to parr--what if you get in and they cancel on you halfway through!!!!!!!!?????? Or even go under?
Are there other programs in the area? Do some homework on this school before you spend any time & money there, k? GL to you and sorry this happened!!!!!
Hi all. It's the only school here that offers the programme so i have no other alternatives.Guessing it's a teacher problem as they had placed an ad for a temporary teacher cause the other one was on leave for whatever reason. But i'm wondering what is happening with the students who are already enrolled.Or do they have a separate teacher for each level. Was trying to contact a friend of mine who's in her last year there but haven't heard from her yet. Will keep you updated.
sometimes these things happen. i know that in that school the i went to years ago, the respiratory therapy classes had to be cancelled for some reason, i can't remember why. however, a very disappointed group of future respiratory therapists was left over. as an appeasement my school offered each of them the opportunity to start the rn nursing classes that same semester. i think almost all of them took the school up on this offer. that is how my nursing class ended up having 1/3 of the students being men. it turned out to be a wonderful class of students. sometimes things happen for good reasons. as in your case, maybe it's more important for you to take the first aid for now. who knows? maybe you are destined to save someone in the future and you need to know that first aid in order to do that. good luck with it.

Hi all got a letter in the post from the nursing school i applied to.When the post man brought it i was so excited and nervous thought i'd finally gotten in.Ripped it open in anticipation just to find out they are cancelling this year's programme. They didn't say why but wished me luck in my future endevours. Now i'm going to have to apply for next year.Another long year of waiting.Don't really mind the wait as it'll give me the chance to finally take up first aid, its the interview part that i'm worried about.Dread that so much, been through it twice and now i have to do it again.Am disappointed but i'm confident i'll get in next year.Well good luck to all you who have been accepted.
