I've always been attracted to people's behavior and attempted to understand why they behave as they do. I have a theory here:
A definition of melting pot is "a place where different peoples, styles, theories, etc. are mixed together" and that's why I believe General Nursing is a popular forum. It's a potpourri of nurses, spanning the entire spectrum of nurses and nursing.
What do you think?
Why do you come to the General Nursing forum?

I can identify Daisy, in that finding and joining allnurses, and the subsequent feeling discussing nursing with other nurses, was an unexpected boost.
I had just bought my '51 Chevy pickup in 2009 and found a website that catered to owners of antique Chevy pickups. The mechanics on that site were so knowledgeable and helpful, that I too wanted to support others as they supported me.
So in 2010, I Googled "nurse support" and voila! allnurses popped up!
The rest, as they say, is history!
I like it because there's something to learn everywhere. Whether I'm learning something new about someone's approach to a situation- social or more medical, or I'm just learning how someone else looks at and navigates this profession we all have in common, I find it enjoyable to read what others are experiencing.
Within my family, I'm known for my eye-rolling, and there are sometimes eye-roll-worthy threads that I have to pass on by, but most of the nurses come here out of genuine concern for make our profession a better place to work. I appreciate that this is a place for open exchange of ideas, for the most part, and general nursing is really where the majority of the topics fit in.

Oh, so you're a polysnack abuser, eh Nurse Blaq?
From what I can tell, you do set aside certain specific times to abuse your snacks, like when there a dramatic thread a-brewin'. That's good- it shows a measurement of control.
But perhaps you could take exception and abuse your snacks while you attempt to name these nurses in...

OUTSTANDING, Daisy!
I thought after I posted this image, "It's too personal to me and esoteric for anyone to get them", but based on the information given, you did a really really good job!
Since you are so very close to a perfect score, please allow me to give you some hints for 1 and 9: They are not actual nurses, but types of nurses that have been discussed here on allnurses.
I don't know about you, but I'm as excited as a game show host on The Price Is Right!

Understandably so, from the information given, NurseBlaq.
