Doing away with the position - informatics.
Thanks, all.Actually, I'm okay. COBRA is 65% covered under the stimulus for 9 months, unemployment has me at the max rate + a $25 stipend, it's been extended, and I kind of knew things were not good.
I will hear on the interview Monday or Tuesday. I'm almost hoping I don't get it.
Thanks, all. I'll be okay.
Sue,
I'm sorry about your situation.Things are going to work out in your favor in the end. Its good that you are getting unemployment and keeping your benefits so you can take your time and get the right job. You have helped so many of us on allnurses. I hope you get the job next week! Keep us posted.:redbeathe
I'm sorry, sweetie. Being laid off totally bites. I agree it's in God's hand now. If He thinks you need the job you just interviewed for you'll get it and if He thinks it's not the right fit you won't. Try and enjoy the unemployment and take some time to unwind and catch your breath. Even though I never want anyone to lose their jobs it can often be a stepping stone to something better. Hugs.
I am so sorry to hear about your lay-off. I think of all the professions suffering through these bad times, the healthcare provider cut-backs at hospitals and other facilities will be felt the most by the public. I guess it will take some calamitous event causing patient harm traced back to the cutbacks, that change will take place.
Hopefully it won't come to that before management comes to their senses. I'll hold all good thoughts that you will be hired back very soon.
