My condolences to those who have to work this Friday night. I never used to believe in such nonsense, until I worked night shift for many years. Be sure to post your stories here too! :)

Yep, so glad I switched with a coworker to have Fri off

I'm dreading it :( And our ER doc for that night is a total **** magnet, ugh.

I work day shift and it doesn't get any better during the day on a full moon either! lol

I was sure that last night was a full moon!! 7 minutes into my shift was my first fall, everyone was awake and at each other's throat all night and finished out the night with one of my CNAs getting an injury so I got to help out with her rounds too just to get finished. The only thing that made me smile was to see the Survey team walk in the door as I was leaving!!!! So glad they don't stick around for NOCs!

Yep and a Friday night with a full moon is the worst. I'll be working.

I have to work. Going to try and hope for the best.

Working 16 hours! 3pm-7:30 am. Can't wait!

The full moon is actually on Thursday, June 12th in my time zone. So, I'm safe.

Specializes in Pedi.

The last time there was a full moon, my day started by discovering that one of my patient's (a child) families had stolen a bunch of her valium and filled the bottle with water (or some other liquid). STILL dealing with the aftermath of that situation. Have to be in her house again on Friday.

When I realized yesterday that Friday is the 13th and a full moon I found our scheduler and told her I volunteer for call off if census is low. Keeping my fingers crossed!!
