What are some great or not so great foods that your fellow coworkers have introduced in your life?

For me it has been hummus ! Such a convenient food to have around, and really filling.

Breakfast casserole-it was made for a morning meeting. I got the receipe and started making it myself

They bring in hummus but I don't like it.

I think that is all....

Flamin' Hots and nacho cheese. Have not tried it, though.

I've revisited the old rum and cokes!

Jean Marie;

I used to live in NW Florida (which I let people know is more like Southern Alabama) and I don't think I remembered ever having tasted Muscadines. And though I have not sampled Menudo, I did discover tamales at work not long after I moved to Texas. They were home made with love from a patient's family member and I have no idea if they were the pig brain version.

I still break my generally low-carb dietary habits every Christmas to eat some well-made tamales (pig-brain free varieties).

Another wonderful discovery was a version of banana pudding made with cream cheese and condensed milk. I lost my co-worker's handwritten recipe but it's super easy to find on the internet. I take it to events where one is expected to bring something and it's right at my skill level (no cooking involved).

I'm sure I'll think of a few more delicious items introduced to me at work.

Buffalo Chicken Dip... it has brought all kinds of amazingness into my life.

Ramen Noodles is an excellent choice for those of us who thought student loans were free money! I'm seriously eating them right now.

I introduced my old coworkers to Ugli fruit. And I had a coworker give me some star fruit. Talk about good!

Oh and chicken adobo! Yum!

When I worked med-surg I discovered that many people like to start their day with Pepsi or Mountain Dew for breakfast. My stomach lurches even as I write this.

Braised pigs knuckles. Mmmmm, rich porky, fatty goodness. Cassava pudding is awesome too.

Used to work with a group of girls from Nepal; they used to make some yummy food and

bring it in to work. Couldn't tell you what any of it was called, though.

I work in NYC with a ton of coworkers from the Caribbean. The most adventurous thing I tried at a party was curried goat-- not terrible, but I don't know that I'd ever have a craving for it. Also tried fried oxtail, Haitian rice and beans, and a lot of other cool stuff. I've learned so much about the diverse cultures that exist in the Caribbean from working with them and eating their food!

One girl I work with brings lychee fruit. They have a pinkish red rind that you peel off and you eat the white flesh inside.Very tasty.
