Most of us, most of the time, love being nurses. Secretly...if money wasn't really an issue...and you did need to work somewhere doing something...what "do you want to be when you grow up?"
If money was no object, I'd actually want to be an administrative assistant - someone's secretary! Answering phones, greeting people, stuff like that...crazy, I know.
What about you?
And please....sincere posts only. Let's keep it clean.
1. Teach history at a university level and do field research
2. Go back active duty Army and join a combat arms/infantry unit
3. Play D&D or video games the majority of my day and watch ESPN
4. Become a travel reviewer like Rick Steves on the Travel Channel
The list can go on, about a million things I rather do if I could haha.
I mistakenly thought (I guess) that most forensic nurses did the rape kits/investigations. Didn't know there was that much to do!
This issue of the Journal of Legal Nurse Consulting (Spring 2015) has an article on forensic nursing. It mostly covers SANE nurses (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner), but also gives info on three other areas of forensics (interpersonal violence, nonmedical deputy medical examiners, and corrections nursing). Check it out.
