Child abuse history clearance??@de2013- yes you also have to get a child abuse history clearance, annual check up, 2 part PPD test and antibody titer lab work for my school LOL:lol2:But to reply to the poster- When I got fingerprinted I had to send my fingerprints to my school for clearance.
It depends on the state you're in. Some states, like mine, require approval from the BON to enter a nursing program. At least you won't be surprised at the end of nursing school that the BON won't let you take the NCLEX because of a criminal history.
To the OP, the FBI accepts manual finger prints and electronic finger prints. How your fingerprints are taken depends on the agency that you go to.
I had to get fingerprinted for nursing school, so I went to my county sheriff's office and they did it electronically and printed of a form with my fingerprints on it. I then mailed that form off to the FBI because that's what I did last time, but I did it manually last time. Did I mail off the form that I was supposed to give to my nursing school to the FBI?
Wow. That sounds official and downright scary. You really should ask for instructions from your school before doing things like that...saves a lot of trouble and wasted time.
I have absolutely no clue what you're supposed to do. I believe we have fingerprinting and an FBI background check done by an outside company and that company sends the results to the BON who sends our results to the school. . We don't get booked and send our prints directly to the Feds.
