  1. Aww I'm sad to hear alot of people disliking micro. I had a great teacher and really enjoyed the class!
  2. Thanks Ashley! Those are great tips! I am not one to eat breakfast but I know I am going to have to.
  3. My school requires an iPad. We are required to buy it ourselves but you must have one.
  4. My nursing chem focused on nursing math and NCLEX style questions! My teacher has been teaching it for 30 years so he had plenty of time to make the class perfectly tailored towards nursing students. Our labs focused on kidney dialyses, urinalysis, etc. It was a great experience for me :)
  5. I look Med Term in the Spring and Loved it!!! I going to study everything my class didn't cover and review for the rest of the summer now that my summer class is over! My class was so informative and will be helpful down the road. It introduced me on a basic level to procedures and, hey, at-least I know word parts and can figure things out. I say go for it!!!
  6. Can you wear a tight fitting cami under your shirt to help keep your pants in place? That's what I do
  7. I haven't taken the NCLEX yet since I only start NS this fall. I also suffer from test anxiety. I'm not sure if you can so this- but what I find helps me do best on tests is to skip over any questions I do not know the answer to rapidly and then go back to them. I also write all over my tests to get my thoughts together. Hope that helps! Keep your head up and Good Luck :)
  8. Wow thanks for sharing your story! I just went to get my titer bloodwork done on Wednesday. I had to hand them a credit card incase my insurance didn't cover it and it was $683! I sure hope my insurance covers it!

I took 15-16 credits per semester depending on lab for my pre-reqs. My GPA was 3.9- school was my main focus and only job. I had a job as a Teaching Assistant but it was simple. I start NS this fall and hope too keep up the good grades :redbeathe
  10. Danskos all the way!! Expensive but so worth it! And you can use magic erasers to keep them white and shiny.
  11. I crammed in all my science classes and always took 2 at a time. I did great because I was able to dedicate a lot of study time. I took A&P 1, Chem 1, Nutrition, and child psychology. Being really organized as far as study dates and planning out my study time helped me be successful.
  12. @de2013- yes you also have to get a child abuse history clearance, annual check up, 2 part PPD test and antibody titer lab work for my school LOL:lol2: But to reply to the poster- When I got fingerprinted I had to send my fingerprints to my school for clearance.
  13. In my area, if your science classes are more than 5 years old you will need to retake them FYI. Sounds like an awful situation and you should contact the school to hopefully get them wiped off your record. And if not then I would contact the school you plan on applying and explaining the situation. But how could you never look at your transcripts before?
  14. As everyone else said you definitely need to talk to the schools you are going to apply to. Some will take the higher grade only, some will evaluate both, and some will average the 2.
  15. My anatomy and physiology class was curved- Big time. My teacher was awful. My micro was not and I had an awesome teacher. If you don't think your prepared enough just study those topics when you have questions or if you don't feel comfortable with something :)
