I just received my ATT to test today... I am scheduled to take the NCLEX on February 8, 2010 which is about 3weeks.... I would like for anyone who is scheduled to take NCLEX in the month of February to share their stories and stradigies for preparing for NCLEX exam..... We can accomplish this together...
I am using NCLEX 3500. the Saunders CD & textbook as my resources.... I do 150 question in test mode each day... I use my school's library as my focal point for studying because being at home for me JUST DONT WORK:eek:. I love it because my schools' library has open access to alumunae graduates.... I know this may sound korny but I can't wait to take it... I know we can ALL do this together...

Hi Everyone, I just took the NCLEX this morning at 8am... I had 75 Questions... OMG their were sooo many SATA... also I had priority type questions and meds...
I just took my exam this morning. I had 75 questions, and it took about an hour. I felt confident during the exam after a few questions, and did the PearsonVue trick and did not go all the way (was relieved when I saw the popup). A lot of SATA questions (more than 10, it was like one after every two questions), and some drug questions(some were familiar, some were not) towards the end. I did Kaplan question trainers 1-4, and watched LOD videos. no Qbank. I did Saunders, about 500qs, and Davis (I didn't like the book at first due to lack of contents, but came to realize it had pretty good questions. So I finished the pre-test(500qs), maternity, peds, and psych. I studied for about one and a half months, and am very happy that I am done with it. I think Kaplan in general has more twisted, harder questions than real NCLEX does. I did score around 60-70, but I think you shouldn't be discouraged by your Kaplan test scores :) Real NCLEX questions made more sense to me, anyway.
I took the test Friday and am still waiting for my results. My friends who took it Wednesday are still waiting too. I only had 75 questions and had the good pop-up from PVT, but then had two people tell me they each knew of someone who took Kaplan and failed at 75 and 78.
Oh well, as my hubby says, what is done is done. It is supposed to be a rough test and it is.

I took kaplan but failed at my second sitting. I was so discouraged because i paid so much as an international student thinking they were going to treat content with us. It was really sad . I am back tto saunders and nclex 3500 now. Hope to sit for my nclex in march.
I received my ATT and scheduled my test for February 22! I'm freaking out! Part of me is excited that it has come to this and part of me is fearful that I'll blow it...
I just wanted to post something to say that I'm here with you guys! I know that we'll all do terrific! :)

took the test this morning as well! 75 questions, a little over 2 hours for me...bunch of SATA, meds (ugggh!), and infection control.
got the good pop up! yay! praise God! :)
