February NCLEX Test Takers....

Published

Hello everyone....

I just received my ATT to test today... I am scheduled to take the NCLEX on February 8, 2010 which is about 3weeks.... I would like for anyone who is scheduled to take NCLEX in the month of February to share their stories and stradigies for preparing for NCLEX exam..... We can accomplish this together...

I am using NCLEX 3500. the Saunders CD & textbook as my resources.... I do 150 question in test mode each day... I use my school's library as my focal point for studying because being at home for me JUST DONT WORK:eek:. I love it because my schools' library has open access to alumunae graduates.... I know this may sound korny but I can't wait to take it... I know we can ALL do this together...

WE MUST STAY CALM, CONFIDENT, FOCUS, & POSITIVE on this journey to becoming an official RN:nurse:

Just finished taking the NCLEX with 75 questions. :) I think the Hurst Review REALLY did help me get prepared. I can't say enough good things about her review. I definitely recommend it to anybody!!!

Taking mine Feb 4th at 8am....good luck to all the others taking theirs tomorrow too! Prayers sent up!!! Blessings~

Took mine 2/2 at 8 am. Had 76 questions, more than a few SATAs. I was shocked when I shut off at 76. I had only been testing for about an hr. I did the PVT trick and wasn't allowed to put in CC info. Tonight I went to the PV site which said my results were not available. On a whim, I went to my BON page, typed in my name, and there it was!!!!!!!!!! License number and all that up there, so I am now an RN!!!!!! Good luck to all those still preparing. YOU can do it!!!!!!!!

OMG you did it!!You are an RN!! Pray for us .

How was the test? Hard? Unknown meds?

Good luck on your test! I just took it. I had a few meds I was not very familiar with but like Marlene Hurst says, you can memorize the whole PDR and still not know it all. To tell you the truth, I don't know if I even got one SINGLE med question right but I knew my patho and what to do in acute situations that made up for what I lacked in meds. (I really don't mean to be tooting my own horn but just want to convey that it is not as difficult as what it is made out to be. I had myself all worked up and scared.:uhoh3:) What matters is having a good knowledge base across the board. The licensing board is just concerned that you are gonna be a safe nurse. Protecting the patient, yourself, and others you work with are the motto.

If you can make it through nursing school and you know your patho, lab values and basic nursing skills like what positions to put your patient in and what to do in emergency situtations, you will be fine.

Anyway, that's my two cents worth :twocents:. Hope it helps. And soon we will all be RNs! :nurse:

Took my NCLEX 2/3/10 and it shut off at 75. There were alot of SATA's and prioritizing. Some meds I didn't recognize and I was thankful for all the studying I did. I did the PVT and got the "good popup" and today saw on the Exam results: PASSED!!!!!!!!:yeah: I am a real RN now........just waiting for my license #! To everyone studying for it, in my opinion the Exam Cram CD that comes with the book (by Pearson Vue) was the closest to the NCLEX of everything we studied in my group. I highly recommend it and the Sylvia Rayfield books or CD's:redbeathe. Good luck to everyone testing.............you can do it!!!:nurse:
