I haven't attended school in 8 years...

I am a stay at home mom of two. My daughter is in elem school full time and my son will go half days this year, plus I am watching my niece (2 months old) 3 days a week starting Monday.

I am taking my classes at night so that I can do my chores and have family time.

Eng F111X Fundamentals of Writing

Prealgebra (I am horrible at math and need the reminder)

Psychology 101

I am soooooo excited, this is the first time I have the time, money and support to go to school. I already ordered my books!!! :nurse:

Wow, you all have some crazy schedules! I'm taking A&P I MTW 8-9:50. I'm working FT so I'm taking it slow this quarter because in Spring I had Chem and English while working 50+ hrs a week, and that was nuts. Next quarter it will be A&P II and Psych. :)

Hi, everyone!!! I'm just starting on my prerequisites this fall! I have enrolled in

English 100 and

Algebra I :crying2:

I graduated high school in 1989, soooo....it's been a while! I was kinda bummed to place in Algebra I, but it would be good for me to start with the basics and get a really good understanding of it since math is so important with nursing !!! Unfortunately, this means taking Algebra I and Algebra II -- both of which are non-credit courses. I need to take those classes before I can take the actual math prereq which is Math 100. I am taking both classes online.

September will be extremely tough for me because I have also enrolled in a CNA class at a different school. I will be going to school Mon-Fri from 4:45 to 9:45 for four weeks in September. I also work full-time, so I am going to have to wake up early during the week and study/do homework. :zzzzz I'm also going to have to do homework on weekends!

I do have a child, but she is 12, so she is old enough to take care of herself. She even said she would pack my meals for my evening CNA classes! :redbeathe

I just hope I can make it through September and keep my sanity! :banghead: The experience will be a good trial run, though. I think it will give me an idea as to how much I truly can handle!!!!

Oh, and the reason why I'm taking the CNA course now is because I hope to get p/t work in private home care later on.
