  1. Okay, thank you for replying! I was thinking the same thing. I know I'm not the only person to ever make this mistake, they probably see it a lot. I just have tried all week to contact the board and no luck.
  2. Hi, I'm just looking for a little insight on my situation. I'm set to graduated from my ADN program in December and sent in my OBN exam application yesterday with the $75 dollar payment. On the application it asks for a program completion date. I called the nursing department for my program and was told to put the date of my final exam. Now, today after sending in my application someone else from the office tells me that I was supposed to put my graduation date instead as this is the date they use when sending in our program completion letter. Is this going to be a problem? On my application it will say 12/10/2013 as the completion date and the nursing program letter being sent to the OBN is going to say 12/19/2013. I've tried contacting the OBN by both phone and email and haven't had any success. I'm worried this will delay my application process or I'm going to have to redo it altogether. I mean, as long as the program is completed and my name and social security number all match, is the completion date really going to make a difference? Looking for some advice on what to do. Thanks!
  3. Has anyone had a clinical at Euclid Hospital or know anything about it? This is where my clinical will be starting in Spring and I have never heard anything about the hospital itself, good or bad.
  4. I'll be starting this upcoming Spring as well at the Eastern Campus doing the day program. I was originally scheduled to start this Fall at the Eastern Campus for the Evening/Weekends program but saw they offered the days in the Spring and switched to that instead. Definitely looking forward to getting started finally as it seems it's been forever since I even applied to the program.
  5. Officially got my start date changed to Spring 2012 for Eastern Campus day! So happy about this!
  6. I'm actually on the phone with the Nursing department at the moment and they told me that it's something new... and I'm now looking to forfeit my spot in the Evening/weekend program this fall in order to be admitted to the day program in spring 2012 at the Eastern Campus due to it being so much more convenient. The way I look at it is that I've waited this long to get into the program.. that one more semester isn't going to make much difference, especially if it is much more convenient for me to do days as opposed to evenings.
  7. Can someone tell me since when does the Eastern campus offer a day program? I just noticed this on the nursing website and was shocked to see that they were admitting for a day program at the Eastern Campus. To my knowledge, I only knew that the Eastern campus offered the Evening/Weekend program. This would have been much more fitting for my schedule had I known about this earlier, but this is the first I've seen of it.
  8. Wow, I feel like it's been forever since I applied for the program. I finished my prereqs Fall 2009 and applied for the program early 2010. I had been accepted and then that is when they added the background check into the process and I had to do that and then get reaccepted. It's crazy to think that when the program starts this August that it will have been nearly a year and a half since I got my acceptance letter. Time really does fly.
  9. Alright, that makes sense but I wasn't quite sure. Thank you!
  10. This may be a silly question.. but I will be starting the Evening/Weekend program at the Eastern Campus this Fall and I just noticed that the class schedule is up for viewing for Fall 2011 and just took a look at it. So, my question is that even though I am admitted to the Evening/Weekend program, does this mean that I can only take Evening/Weekend nursing classes or will I be able to take a day nursing class if I choose to? I wasn't sure if those were restricted to just day nursing students or what.
  11. There's a study guide for the A2 that you can pick up at the Tri-C bookstores. I did purchase it before I took my A2 but to be honest, I would have done just as well on the test if I didn't have the study guide. It wasn't very useful or needed in my opinion. But, if you feel that it may be helpful, go for it!
  12. This is ridiculous! Unfortunately though, I too have seen this at the facility I work at. There has been times when I was helping another CNA change someone and they didn't wipe them up when changing the brief and I actually have said something to them about needing to clean them up... a lot of times the excuse I get is "well, theres no wipes!" I always find it helpful to stock my rooms with wipes and whatever else right when I start my shift. Now, I don't work night shift but I find that thoroughly cleaning a patient doesn't take that much more time or effort. Maybe this is because I've been doing this for almost three years but eventually you will develop a routine where it will take no time at all. Good luck and learn to ignore the ignorant people that have formed their own bad habits.
  13. I will be taking Micro at the Eastern Campus on Fridays during the day. Not working really isn't an option for me either. Right now I work 4 days/week and would like to maintain that if at all possible, but I'm not sure it is. I would rather not have to take out any school loans at all.
  14. I will be taking Micro this spring semester as well. I will also be taking A&P 2 in Spring... I'm hoping that it isn't going to be too much to handle but I really want to get all my non nursing classes done prior to starting the program in the Fall and those are the only two I have left. As for working, right now I work full time while going to school and I'm hoping to switch over to prescheduled prn at my current job come this fall. This would mean that I would have a couple regularly scheduled days a week but am also considered a prn worker. I then could pick up hours off of the schedule and also receive a higher pay rate since my hours won't be guaranteed every week. The only other way around still being able to work full time would be to switch to day shift, which I really would rather not do. I guess I'll figure it out closer when it gets closer to that time.
  15. The wait list for Tri-C is not bad at all compared to other community colleges in the area. I believe they are admitting for Spring 2012 right now. While waiting, you can take your prereqs which qualify you to apply for the program then once admitted, you can take all your other non nursing classes to pass time til the program starts. I've heard that Lakeland has a pretty long waitlist and then I have some coworkers that attend Kent and have told me it's pretty competitive to get it. But, of course this is all hearsay since I attend Tri-C myself and don't know much about the other programs in the area.
