Since we had these threads when I was in A&P I and II, and I thought I'd start one for Microbiology. Anybody else delving into the world of bacteria and viruses this fall? Let's start a support thread! Let's share our victories and failures, exchange study tips, and cheer each other on.
My first lecture and lab classes are tomorrow. I'm looking forward to this class.
I started Micro today! Our instructor is super organized and will demand a lot, but she knows her stuff and I think we'll all learn a lot. It seems like we'll have more work in Micro Lab than Micro Lecture (two completely separate classes at my school), even though we only get one semester credit for the lab. I think I'll really enjoy Micro...after all, anything is better than A&P! Whew, glad to be done with those two classes.
I started Micro today! I can already see it will be just as I've been told: lecture will be lots of work and lab will be lots of fun. In lecture, we delved briefly (very briefly) into basic microbiology, and in lab we did nothing more than talk about what's coming, get our lab safety lesson, and receive the lab coats we'll use for the semester. I've heard wonderful things about my instructor, and I must say I really like him so far. I think it's going to be a great semester. A lot of work, a lot of memorization, but a great semester.
I started the lecture yesterday and have lecture and lab tomorrow. I think the subject matter is interesting...doesn't mean I think it will be easy though! The prof mentioned we could use calculators on our exams which really freaked me out. I have a hard enough time with sciences, math is even worse!
Yep, me too. Second class tonight. It's fascinating! I'm taking Micro and Public Speaking, the last two classes before I start clinical in the Spring. I must have had some micro in high school, because I've seen this material somewhere before...so far it's all recall. That was 25 years ago, though! If anyone has any good resources, please share!
