  1. My textbook came in yesterday & I picked up my lab manual today ... Class starts Monday for me!
  2. Hmmm... What about taking out personal loans? Probably not ideal but I'm pretty sure neither is working full time.. I'm not too sure about financial aid or scholarships but I would start looking into it ASAP!! We have a family & a mortgage too so I know how you feel. Plus my family is over 400 miles away When are you taking the NLN? I think I might take it next month. Probably on the 18th.
  3. Noooooo.. I'm taking APII, Micro, Stats & Psyc something... uhhh Life Span Psyc I believe?!
  4. I'm a little late in the game here, lol, but I'm trying to apply for Fall 2013
  5. Thanks everyone ... Geeeeeez didn't realize this would become such a popular post :)
  6. LOL well let's just say I'm the minority in my class in a very "urban" area.... So yeah loud capping would probably not be in my favor!!
  7. Oh, and, apparently she's not even good at cheating because she only scored a 31/85 on the quiz yesterday
  8. Well, I'm pretty sure the majority of y'all would be relieved to know that I DID report her! Turns out, the professor had some kind of hunch, but couldn't exactly pinpoint how she was doing it since she couldn't actually see the phone! She also told me she is glad I came forward because now she will bust her on the next exam... our 175 question cum. final! I guess with me only having so much time to get in the program (husband is military, so we move every few years), I don't have time for karma to come around AFTER she could have gotten a spot I had earned
  9. The exam grades definitely do not reflect my (or anyone else's) knowledge of the material! This woman's test are just plain ridiculous and you'd swear we are all horrible students (which is NOT the case, we have a girl starting med school next month and she got straight As in college and she's sitting with a B right now ) I really wish this summer term was a better experience, and since I'm self pay I do not feel as if I got my $700+ worth, lol.
  10. I've decided tomorrow I'll go speak with my professor. Perhaps she could have been a little more pro-active this entire time by walking around during exams, but she just sits at her desk and can't see under the girl's table from the angle she's at!I have worked ENTIRELY too hard to let her take a spot from someone that TRULY deserves it
  11. The good thing is, I have an 100 in my lab portion - which is combined with lecture - so that is keeping me afloat at the moment. Plus she gives tons of basically "busy work" assignments which I've scored all 100s on. I know the material she's lectured on and read my chapters dozens of times so I feel confident about all of that, however her tests are a completely different animal...
  12. You definitely make an excellent point! I know for a fact she is getting grants (she was talking about it the other day) so yep, sounds like wasted tax dollars... I guess I'd be doing everyone a favor here then, lol.
  13. The crazy thing is I HAVE seen a tutor, talked to my professor, all that jazz and my grades do not reflect any of it! We've all come to the conclusion her tests have nothing to do with any of her lectures or what we read in the textbook :thankya:
  14. I've been a "lurker" for quiteeeeeee some time now, and I have a sort of ethical dilemma on my hands. I'm in a 4.5 week A&P I class for the summer. The girl sitting next to me has used her cell phone to cheat on every exam so far (3 total). Everyone else in the class is busting their asses to pull C's (somehow our tests never have anything to do with our lectures/notes)... Part of me says to just mind my own business and let it be, but the other part of me is enraged that I spend countless hours studying to "earn" my Bs and Cs! I know there are cheaters everywhere and I can't stop them all, but in a way she is my "competition" as we are both going for the same program. I know how upset I would be if her cheated A beat out my earned B and she got into the program. Any suggestions on what to do?
