Fall 09 hopefuls?

I am applying to Pace University's Accelerated BSN program

My BS avg is 3.67 from 12 years ago, my avg so far this semester for the pre-reqs is A in Chem101 and B+ in A&P1.

So that leaves Statistics for the intersession, Micro & A&P2 for spring.

Application date is Aug 15th I think, but I will be applying much sooner.

No real plan B.

Alright well I just better get in to one of the three schools in the fall.

Where are you applying?Grossmont CC, SD City CC, SDSU

What is your GPA and/or points for your school of choice? uhhh gpa is like 3.5 or something...i don't think i'm going to make the points cutoff for sdsu but we'll find out.

When is your schools deadline? It has already come and gone

When does the acceptance letters go out? i've been accepted to grossmont and city i've been waiting for two years already...and sdsu i think march.

What is your plan A, B, C...?Just wait it out

Where are you applying? I have already applied to Clark CC in Vancouver, WA and I am just waiting to hear. In Feb. I will also be applying to Mt hood CC in Gresham, OR and Clackamas CC in Clackamas, OR. All 3 schools are in the Portland area.

What is your GPA and/or points for your school of choice? My sciences GPA is 4.0. My Pre-req GPA is 3.89. At Clark I have 44 out of 53 (I didnt get the CNA or residency points). At MHCC I have 59 out of 70 (which has been enough for an interveiw in the past). And at Clackamas I have 55 points.

When is your schools deadline? Clark = Oct 1

MHCC = Feb 15, CCC = April 1

When does the acceptance letters go out? Clarks go out 8 weeks after deadline (so somewhere around Thanksgiving). The other two schools notify students in June.

What is your plan A, B, C...? Take my CNA this Winter and apply again next year 4-5 points stronger depending on the school.

Okay... so I totally hijacked the Spring 09 hopefuls thread. But, it was a good idea.
This thread is for those of us that are aiming to start NS in Fall 09. Hopefully, we can keep this thread alive over the next year through all the craziness of pre-reqs, applying, and preparing for nursing school.

Hi everyone I am new to this site and love it! Everyone here can relate to what I'm going through!

I am applying to SC4 in michigan

deadline for applying is January 15th. I'm getting ready to take the HESI:mad:

My GPA is currently a 3.8, but I am currently in an A&P 2 class that I am really struggling in because the teacher is very hard to understand! (language barrier) So this class is going to really hurt my GPA!! :banghead:

I am sooooo stressed out about getting in the nursing program, because it is so competative!! and letters of acceptance or rejection don't go out until April! (the program starts in the fall)

I don't really have a plan B yet, just praying that I get in this year:bowingpur

i am currently attending bmcc in ny

my current gpa is a 4.0 :) and last year's gpa cut off was a 3.73

not sure but i will be applying in march 2008

not sure, but my friend received her acceptance letter in the beginning of the summer (june or july)

my goal is to stay in the school i'm in. if i don't get accepted :angryfire then i will attend a private school.:wink2:

Well ... if I don't make it in for Fall of 2009 then I will finish up my general classes for the nursing program, finish the 3 classes I need for my business degree and apply for Spring 2010. & if I don't get in that one, I don't know what I'll do. But I KNOW I'll get in for Fall 2009 hehe, positive thinking! :yeah:

What is your GPA and/or points for your school of choice?

I have my BA from the College of William and Mary in 2001 and busted my butt just trying to graduate! My GPA isn't the best..but the GPA requirement is only 2.5. Also, I plan on getting awesome grades in my pre-reqs.

When is your schools deadline?

I'm applying for the Evening RN program and my pre-reqs must be done by end of Summer Session I.

When does the acceptance letters go out?

I will be taking the NET in September..so I'm guessing by August

What is your plan A, B, C...?

Well, I'm already working in a non-nursing field..so I will continue to work until I get in! OR..I will continue my pre-reqs..and either try again..or try form another school. Either way, I'm getting OUT of the business world! :yeah:

Hey all, I am actually in a weird position - have been accepted for CWRU's grad entry DNP, but still have pre-reqs and a few other bits and bobs to get out of the way (I applied a year early because that way I could sort out all my visa requirements in one go!). This semester I have studied A&P I, Microbiology, Sociology and Psychology - so far got an A in all 4. Next semester is A&P II, Lifespan Development and Stats (eeekk!), need a 3.5 in pre-reqs I believe to retain my place!

I really want to get into UMB, but i will also be applying to Salisbury.

Has anyone taken the NET test yet? And if you are also interested in UMB, do you know what a good score would be? I heard they just use the composite of math and comp.

I have a 3.34 and 207 points as of now after this semsester it should be a 3.39 and 213 points

Apply again for the spring of 2010! Maybe UMB for the Fall of 2010 if I don't get into my school before then.

I'm in the midst..almost done! Got all the physical exam/immunizations done (except 1 more Mantoux)..gotta send in background check...registered for basic assistant nursing course that will start July 6...ordered uniform..gotta get insurance. Halfway there!
